  1. If you're not in the US all you have to do is ground your parking brake wire.
  2. So what are you saying? You wasted you're money on the thing from Amazon?
  3. So your cameras power wire is still connected to the reverse lights? How is the camera getting power for rear view if the reverse lights aren't on?
  4. I understand that but clearly you're not understanding. The issue here isn't the 12v and where you get it.
  5. Well, in the case of rear view, how is the camera suppose to get power when not in reverse mode if it's wired as you say? So........the answer I gave you is the correct one. Understand you're only about the 1000th person that's asked this question and the answer is always the same.
  6. First of all your installation is wrong for the camera. Connect the red power wire from the camera to the red power wire of the unit and you will get rear view. Next what color is the camera icon on the screen? If it's blue touch it again till it's white and your other problem will be solved as well.
  7. Actually I banned him/her based on the email, LOL. I might let him/her make it since they revised their wording.
  8. Well congrats. Hope you don't have another problem though since you're now banned from the forum.
  9. Well said Wachanim! And what's funny is his issue is so easily fixed and I would have directed him in the right path if it weren't for the temper tantrum.
  10. Its not that difficult to access or remove a head unit from your vehicle. I suggest a Google search on how to accomplish this task with your vehicle.
  11. It most assuradly will work once you have the required adapters.
  12. First of all to my knowledge you cant convert HDMI to USB so whatever you have , that aint it! The bottom line is you will have the adapters that are required if you want it to work.
  13. This is going to take someone that can program, has an App Radio unit, and can devote free time to the task. Just like the developer that started this in the first place. Not some unknown group claiming they will devote time and resources for a price. Until that happens this project is dead. Please stop beating this dead horse.
  14. The source code for this project is open source so no one can charge for a developed product to my knowledge.
  15. Ok so is anyone going to follow up with this claim that a group is willing to develop this for a price? Is anyone going to start a donation account? Are any of you actually going to donate to a group without actually knowing if they will or can do this? Oh wait, the original developer had a donation account and was actually developing this project. Did any of you so eager to donate to an unknown group actually ever donate to the original developer? I'm guessing not and that is likely why this project is dead and will likely stay that way! It's dead people, move on.
  16. MOD NOTE: I am declaring this project dead and there is no indication that it will be further developed. There is no need to contribute to this thread any further unless there is new news indicating it will be developed further.
  17. There is no AVIC-4000. You have an AVH-4000. So you have have a microbypass.
  18. Have you read the connection requirements for i5 devices? It's plastered all over Pioneer's site as well as on this site.
