You got my support, Im calling to complain, seems these Z1 units are very weak, not much research went into them. Going through my second unit and the bluetooth is F'ed up.

I think that will keep me busy while waiting for the load, a nice pic of Jessica Alba or somethin while I wait for it to boot up, lol.

You can search for mytaxfree.com review and you will see how many bad reviews they got. I guess this is a warning to all, dont buy from mytaxfree.com.

I did mine at BestBuy for $200 incl all the harness n materials. Also its guaranteed for life on the installation.

OMFing G, me sending my avic z1 back to mytaxfree? Hell no, prob never get it back. Mistake in buying from them in da first place. Is there any other way of getting a local Pioneer dealer to fix this under warranty, why is Pioneer making this so complicated?

I got mine from them as well, after ordering, got it a freakin month later. They do have the cheapest deal, but saving 200 wasnt worth the pain. My mistake. Also now that they arent officially Pioneer Dealers, how would the warranty issue work? My system has an issue with the CD/DVD player not working so im kinda stuck as to what to do.

Its just weird, even today its like 75 deg and tons of rain here in NYC and still if I pop in any CD or DVD, it just says "Checking Disc" and remains that way. I have no idea whats wrong and I know it cant be the temp at all since I just started the car for the first time today and its cool outside as well as inside. I have a 2005 Nissan Altima.

Its like 85 degs here in NY. Took the car out for a drive and its raining. So I pop in the same MP3 cd i have been using in the Z1 unit since I got it with no prob, all of a sudden it give some kinda of message that because of the temperature, it cant play the cd. WTF, its not even hot enough, im not sweating much, why is the unit on a heat stroke? But all else is working fine except the cd player. What is the temp that this thing can play on? This is the first time it happend.

Anyone know how to change the wallpaper in the dynamics? I would love to have a custom background for the dynamics, that would be kool.

Have a '05 Nissan Altima and I have the antenna on the passenger side dash and no problems at all. Its hidden and doesnt attact attention.

I also have been getting that same prob where once i first start the car, the mapping seems to be going over the river and through the woods, but after a few mins of driving, or as soon as a hit the major street, its back to normal. It prob takes time to recognize where you are at, this is my first gps nav system so I cant really say much to compare with others if the same prob occurs, anyone know whats wrong or any fixes? Thanks

When they correct it, do u know if they send u an update or instructions on how to update ur navi?

I got this, installed it and it is just perfect. Havent found anything better. It charges the ipod as well and the music quality is much better than the others since it uses the data port instead of the headphone port. I agree, the nav info is not up to date. i had the same issue and I live in Brooklyn NY. Paying 2g's for this thing for looks is not worth it, I hope they make an update asap because its ridiculous that a $300 gps system can out perform this $2k system hands down in terms of navigation.
