  1. Better interface for HD radio and usb devices!!!!
  2. I uploaded my contacts, I just had to do it one entry at a time, also there is some noise interference that I can hear at times, I think it's from the bluetooth.
  3. my iPhone works with the Bluetooth adapter OK, as for the iPod adapter it works but frequently you loose control and need to pull it out to reset it, also it won't charge. Hope that answers your question.
  4. Question, when you unlocked the drive which method did you use? If you used the cheaper method it wiped your data. If this happened and you tried to boot it in the head unit it locked again.
  5. It looks like it's only supported on alpine units.
  6. I'm patient and will wait until I can find an image, I'm only hoping that the Z3 image will make my navtraffic work like my original Z1 image did.

    Z3 question

Looking at the Z3's for sale on ebay they're saying that they will play DIVX files. Anybody know if that's true?
  8. I'd suspect that there will be some internal changes AND some software changes. First the processor/processors will probably run at a higher clock rate AND the mainboard/memory will most likely run at lower voltages. The software I suspect will be written to take advantage of faster hardware, hopefully bus speeds will be faster so input devices will operate at a reasonable speed. When I first hooked my Ipod to my Z1 I was really disappointed to say the least.
  9. As stated I'm still having navtraffic problems. I've done every type of reset there is, for a few days after a reset it will work good, then will occasionaly drop some data and then get it back eventually it will just completely loose all navtraffic data. Yesterday it lost all the navtraffic data but being I was out of the traffic in my commute I just forgot about it, then I switched from music library to XM and found I had no audio on any of the XM channels, nothing at all sound wise but the display showed what was playing. I then decided to do a reset, after rebooting all the audio came back
  10. Same problem here, mine does it only when I'm in a navtraffic area. What I mean is on the first half of my drive to work it doesn't give any traffic data as there is none, then the last half there is, it would start to quit towards the end, some legs drop out but the start again randomly. The drive home it would start out good then about 30 minutes start dropping out. What I did that has made it better so far, first I did a level 3 reset, and then while driving in traffic I did a level 1 reset. The level 1 is the paper clip in the little hole, while the level 3 is done by holding the map
  11. You can use any audio cd, but it will only name the tracks for you automatically IF they are legit/legal CD's and IF its in the database. But it will rip any audio cd you stick in there. I copy burned cd's to mine all the time, if the mp3 id tag is properly done and burned with Nero the names all show up as I named them, you'll need to check the box for cd-text.
  12. I installed a toshiba 60 gig drive a few weeks ago, I just pulled the old drive out and put it away. It's been working ok so far, I had to do a reset to get the navtraffic to work properly and it is still having some issues. Today on the drive to work I recorded some burned discs to the HD, worked ok but on the way home I did notice the navtraffic was acting up then suddenly it did a reboot, first time since the install. After rebooting the navtraffic was back, no other problems noticed so far.
  13. So ANY toshiba 2.5 PATA HD will work? Could somebody recomend a model number for a 60 GIG that is known to work without rebooting? Thanks
  14. I have the Z1 and the t-moblle dash, I got it to transfer but had to do it one at a time.
  15. Nice roadster, I have an 04 ZR. I've had the Z1 since a month after buying the Z last october. I finally pitched the Bose system and went all after market, also I installed the steering wheel controls from an 06 Z that gives me control of volume, mute and changing station/channels. I also installed the Pioneer IR remote, I'd recomend you get that, it works pretty good but getting it into just the right position so the IR can reach the head unit takes a little trial and error. I put a LCD display in the cubby so I'm not concerned about the bypass issues. Right now it's in the shop at VRT
