OK I have a weird problem when I put the car in reverse the cam does not come on. It was working normally for 2 years. The only way it comes on is if I press the source button and hit backup camera on the screen. When the car is put in reverse it says the input signal is high but the camera does not come on. In the map screen where you can choose view modes the rear cam option is not available. please help?

Is there a big difference between CMOs rear cameras and CCD cameras? What will be compatible with a Z1 that has been upgraded to a Z3 thanks to Garret!!!

OK I did it, I used the original hard drive and followed the instructions step by step. It works perfectly no reboots. Thank you guys!

Is it necessary to make the hard the "AVIC Z1 hard drive as the master drive on your secondary IDE channel using the IDE Hard Drive Adapter" Or could I get a usb adapter for the drive and then copy the image to the drive? ???

I believe the vss wire on the Z1 is green and I think it's the blue wire on the lexus. Give it a try this should work! Good Luck!

That message shouldn't come up if you bypassed it correctly but try to reset it and see if it works right.

Well if you get the new Z2 there is a bypass available if you buy one from June 2007 or newer. It's the same bypass that was used on the Z1. http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html Ducatiboy sums it up pretty well. If you don't bypass you will not be able to use most Navi functions while moving and there is no DVD viewing either not that you should be watching DVDs while driving anyway. This stuff is all over this website, just try to search next time. Hope that helps!

My LCD now only displays a colorful rainbow, the touch functions work for the places I know where to touch I can hear her fine but it isn't very useful without a display. Some drops of water may have dropped onto it. Help what can I do?

nope the nav voice and the phone voice will both come out of whatever speakers you select you can't make nav come out of one and the phone come out of the other

Not sure if it'll work but you do need to buy the XM module
