Like Ducati, I got mine insured (Geico). Yeah, it's a little more change per month - but I feel a hell of a lot better knowing I'm covered in case someone rips me off. Heh...I also have a background I load in when I leave my car for long periods that says "This Z1 unit has been removed. Pioneer lojack activated. Police notification in process.."
-
I've never had this happen to me...is it all of the buttons? If it's all of them - there may be a problem with the way the unit was put together. If you suspect something is caught in there - my first suggestion would be to get a can of compressed air (available anyplace pc's are sold) and try that.

I know for a fact this was already covered because I asked this exact question in November. Click below for the thread: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3423&highlight= Ducati - this is what I was tallking about, we need an FAQ!!!

Regarding the Z1/Z2 Forum-- I'm not assuming you have the time to actually do this-- but if so it may be worth it.... I think we should have a FAQ Document in big ass bold letters that says something like "PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING" and have all of the common, repeated questions answered there-- -Bluetooth -Z1 or Z2? -Bypass -Uploading Backgrounds -Burning music It's the same questions over and over-- brand new people are too naive to search, and veterans get annoyed and post comments like 'search please' or 'this has been covered to death - search' , etc. and so the resul

"hmmmm.... let me turn to the correct page in my pre-written script so I can answer your question..."

I wouldn't expect an official price anytime soon..Pioneer likely won't release the MSRP until Q2 to keep competitors at bay. Consider this, though--- newer is almost always more expensive. Also, until someone actually gets their hands on a Z2 and toys with it we have no idea of knowing if the upgrades are even worth it....

can another layer of security be added? Other boards I visit require you match a word before posting to prevent programs from randomly spamming boards. Seems to help....this is getting insane...

Yea damn Pioneer for pushing the better and more stable satellite radio provider with more subscribers, more satellites, bigger/better ground repeater network, and of course a stock price now edging up to 5 times the value of Siri's stock "Sirius Tops XM in New Subs for Fourth Consecutive Quarter ...Sirius's revenue increased 150 percent year over year, to $167.1 million, according to the company. Cost to acquire a subscriber dropped 23 percent, and Sirius's third quarter adjusted loss from operations decreased 21 percent year over year. Meanwhile, XM Satellite Radio saw third

I'll take, "So What's The Difference" for $200, Alex.

2 bars?!?! WOW. I think I have it worse than I thought - I get echo at 1/4 bar! (And that's AFTER doing a L3 reset and re-pairing) The only time my callers don't hear an echo is when I'm on the interstate and the ambient car noise buffers out the feedback...

If the most important thing is start-up, then go with an Eclipse. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of the Z1 - but it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for. The Z1 with Bluetooth IS handy - especially for a real-estate agent like yourself - but their are bugs that still need to be worked out - mainly the horrific "echo" that plagues most owners except for a select few. If you can wait fot the Z2 update, it may be worth it...

so when I do an "Artist Search" and I pick an artist, it lists ALL of the songs on my hard drive recorded by that artist. Does anyone know of a way to instead have it list the individual albums by that artist first? Thanks! Gumiboy Avic-Z1, Bluetooth, Sirius Acura RSX-S

After reading everything on here about the Bluetooth Update to help with the echo problem, I called Pioneer to ask if I coud be sent a CD. The tech claimed to know nothing about the CD at all (although he admitted getting tons of calls about the echo problem and said they are working on it). When I told him others had gotten a CD he seemed surprised but still had no idea. I asked him when an update/release of Z2 would be available, and he told me in May. So is the update floating around online for real? -- was it developed by Pioneer or by a third party? Gumiboy Avic-Z1,

Why would you convert it to .wma first? Just burn it as a music CD and your computer should auto-convert to .cda format.
