  1. I too updated to 4.0 on my UK F920BT. No problems at all, used an 8Gb Sandisk Class 4 SDHC card. Installation took about 25-30mins then the BT update took about 5 mins. Seems a little slower than my old 2.0 software, especially when changing ipod artists/tracks but at least my maps are up to date Didn't loose any of my settings either other than BT. All my history, favourites, splash screen, equaliser settings, all intact Cheers Andy
  2. Formally a F900BT owner, in my car I fitted a F920BT (X920BT). Couple of gripes I have and no way that I can see round them.... 1. Only way to switch between 2D and 3D is through the Map settings menu, no button on the display? 2. Stupid scrolling in iPod to go through names. A simple page up/page down would have been much easier. 3. No customization at all! WTF, my F900 was tweaked to just how I liked it. 4. You still cannot adjust a destination without first saving it, then changing it. Maybe some of these i'm being dumb with and it can be done? All in all, not that impressed.
  3. By more luck than judgement, I got the correct pins!! It went in VTR2R, VTR2L, VTR2RG and VTR2LG
  4. Making progress Managed to get hold of a service manual for an Z110 which has the same connector But although it shows the connector, I still don't know which ones which lol!!
  5. Hi Please help me. I need the wiring for the audio loom (the one with the preouts in it) I need yo put back in the aux 2 audio cables but don't know where they go Please help!!! I looked at a F900 one but It's different.
  6. It sounds very much like the installer has mixed up the illumination and speed signal wires. As I said, get the installer to disconnect the speed wire (it's the pink wire on the Pioneer loom). Does the Nav unit show good GPS signal? The illumination when hooked up the to car properly will switch the Nav unit between day and night modes, illumination is the orange wire from the Nav unit btw.
  7. Yes I would suggest the the installer has completed ferked up your install. Sounds like they've hooked up the speed signal wire to the wrong place. In fact it doesn't NEED to be connected at all. I ran a F900 for 2 years and it never missed a beat. With regards the handbrake, that is a safety feature. Again you can bypass it by connecting the handbrake wire to ground. I would take it back and check the wiring, get them to disconnect the speed signal wire completely and test it. You will probably have to do the bypass mod yourself. Have a look here to see how to do it : http://avic411.com/i
  8. Where would I find the POI and 3D building files for the UK? There not in that link?
  9. Can anyone confirm this method works for the EU units? I have V3 firmware already in my F900 but would like the latest maps.
  10. Well that aint gonna stop people hacking into their F whatevers to pull the entire flash disk onto a SD and pass it on will it. Only way to stop that would have been for Pioneer to completely lock out WinCE. But as we know, that hasnt happened either!
  11. What? Doesnt the title give this away? FIRMWARE ONLY!
  12. Did you copy the hacked ezrider across? That would be why it doesnt work.
  13. Good job, I wont bother doing mine then. Bear in mind to anyone using Bitmans image, you MUST update the WinCE manually first.
  14. Ok well after getting told off for asking too many questions I finally got the update working on my UK F900. Note this is firmware only, no map updates. Now this does assume you know how to navigate WinCE on the units, copying and pasting etc.. 1) Download the F710/F910 EU firmware update from here : http://www.pioneer.eu/files/support/avic_apl_upgrade/AVIC_F710910_APL_3010100_CE_6219.zip 2) Download The EU testmode for V2 from here :http://avic411.com/forum/download/file.php?id=6588 3) Download the new testmode V2.3 from here : http://www.avic411.com/forum/download/file.php?id=7
  15. Where can I get the easyrider hacked file? Thanks
  16. OK heres what happened to me today. So first off I backed up my F900. Updated with the latest V3 WinCE, all went well. Then as per instructions from here, I booted using testmode 2.3, worked fine and copied the new APC folder across. Result - stuck on Startup in Progress. I could access the ipod/Fm etc.. but once I pressed Map, I couldn't ok the saftey screen and then it wouldnt go back to the main menu! So i've not reflashed back to the original winCE and put my backup back into it. All is working as it should now. So where did I go wrong? This is UK F900 btw, which i
  17. Sorry I was rude. Bad time for me to have posted. Thanks for the hint, it has told me everything I needed to know BTW for any UK'ers in here, I phoned Pioneer Uk earlier and they were aware of the update and said it would be out soon, cost in the uk..... £200!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
  18. Oh do me a favour, it's idiots like you that cause people to brick their units. If you cant be arsed to help someone else then dont reply here.
  19. So.. sorry for me being thick but are you guys using the F910 V3 firmware on the F900? If so did you just update the F900 as normal with the V3 on a SD card etc..? Or.. do you need to get into testmode to do it? Please can someone do an idiots guide to this please? I'm happy doing the testmode stuff but need to know what i'm copying! Thanks Andy
  20. Ok so V3 maybe is what I need but where can I get just the firmware from? On the verge of ditching this and getting something else.
  21. Why oh why are they so bloody slow. My UK F900 is just pathetically slow. It's ridiculous. How much of an improvement is V3, speed wise? I'm gonna ditch this if nothing happens with V3, I just cant live with it anymore
  22. I use the CK3200 parrot mic in mine. Far better than the stock mic.
