I have the hissing as well. It does get louder with button presses. It's quite annoying and the sort of thing which has made me ban entire brands of HU in the past... With my amp gains set correctly, it was quite noticeable. I noticed that the hiss seemed to be constant regardless of volume setting. To reduce it, I lowered the gains on my amps and use more volume on the HU to compensate. It's not perfect and there is still hiss, but it's better. Tim

I just finished installing mine. I like the features, the configurability, and the overall performance. Only downsides- a bit of noise during button presses, HD radio and Siruis work, but the lack of presets names are a bit annoying. I hacked it right away to get rid of the button press sounds, but otherwise it's stock. Tim

Sorry to bring back a dead thread, but I wanted to post what worked for me. I also used the illumination wire from a GMOS-04 and it worked perfectly. (07 Saab 9-7X- same as a Trailblazer/Envoy/Ascender/Bravada/Rainier) Tim

Bluetooth won't work through the pre-outs unless you do some hacking. That was enough for me not to buy it. Otherwise, I really like it. Tim
