  1. I thought about this after I sent it in...One of the problems I'm having is that it does not save the files.
  2. I was able to see the files on windows from my SD card exactly, so I know they were there. I reset probably 1 minute after the files were copied...was that too short of a time period? I finally broke down and called Pioneer customer support, and learned that my unit is under warranty still. So it's on a plane somewhere today from Kansas City to Long Beach, CA. I think there is more wrong with that unit than I know, hence the reason this upgrade would not work. Perhaps I'll try this again once my unit comes back working correctly...or I may just leave it alone and be happy with a functi
  3. Well, that didn't work either. Now I'm going to try the entire file again.
  4. I refuse to give up. So here I am at it again...I don't know if it's going to work or not, but I see the minute counter now at 140 minutes...instead of only 55. This is a step in the right direction. One thing I did this time instead of "select all" is I only selected the FOLDER of my flash drive. So far I'm getting a different result. (Fingers crossed, and hammer put away)
  5. At Number 7. I take the SD card out, and hold reset for 5 seconds. I just did another download of the torrent to SD card using WinRAR to extract to the card. I suppose I can give it one more shot. I can't help but to think that I'm doing something wrong, because everyone else seems to get it right. One thing, I never see where it's supposed to take 140 min. It always starts out around 55 minutes or so, then dwindles down rapidly.
  6. I deleted the map off of the SD card through my PC...I took off HA, Canada, Alaska etc..
  7. 1. How do I delete a map? I'll take out everything I don't need. I wonder if this is part of the problem? 2. When I copy, I go to Edit > Select All > Copy Then go to the disk and go to Edit > Paste Then it starts to copy everything. It takes approx: 25 min or so...then after it's all done. I take the disk out, and push the reset button with a pin for 5 seconds. 3. After the reset, the pioneer screen comes on, and then it all goes black. Nothing happens at all. Just as it did when I picked it up from the dealership. I'm a very reciprocating person...so
  8. After all that, I copied all of the files from my card to the disk drive...and for some reason, none of it there. Hammer time!
  9. It's not working. When I restart, I go right back to the very beginning. Pioneer screen then black.

  13. Everything is copied now to "My FLash Disk". Do I do a reset by hitting the button? Or restart from the windows menu? I also remove the SD before reset/restart correct?
  14. Ok nevermind I just re-read some of your earlier posts One thing I did have to do is delete everything out of the exisisting "My Flash Disk" before copying... Thats what I just did too. It's got less than one minute now for the copy. What should I do next?
  15. I have not done that...let me see what I can find here...hang on.
  16. Still going back to the black screen. This did not work for me. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. The latest update from Pioneer is 2.XX Something. Unless you pay ~$150 and buy the 3.XX update. The update included in this posted release is 3.02001, the newest version, aswell as new maps and select mods. Theres no need for downloading anything through Pioneer for this release. Once your RAR file is done downloading, PM me and I'll come back here to help you out. I think I worked my way through it. I'm in the step now of copying everything into the "My Flash Disk" spot from my card. I never seen anything that said it was goint to take 140 minutes...but it's at 34 minutes n
  18. As it is now, I'm downloading the update on the Pioneer website so that I can at least get some function on my NAV. I've accessed the menu via the instructions, but the Nav Unit does not find the FX3.1 File. I'm to the point now that if I can at least get my HU to work again that is a million dollars in my book.
  19. Download WinRAR and decompress the RAR from your PC, then copy whatever is needed to your SD card, as instructed in the first post of this thread. I'll try again. It must have downloaded incorrectly on my PC. Thank you for your response.
  20. I'm stuck on how to copy the entire RAR file to the root of the SD card. Can someone assist me on how to accomplish this?
  21. I'm downloading now, and will save onto SD tomorrow. I had the battery changed in my car, and am getting the black screen after my splash-screen image. I hope this cures it...and I'll get an upgrade from 2.0 as well! Great info gang...this may have saved me from another grey hair!! I'll post up results when complete. I feel like I owe the original poster something should this go down.
  22. I've had this unit in my CTS for close to a year now, and am thinking of getting Sirius, or XM radio. Who uses it with the unit? Since it's compatible, do I need to purchase anymore hardware, or can I just subscribe and they send me the signal? Thanks in advance, Dan
  23. I solved this problem yesterday, both of my phones did this. Step 1. Disconect bluetooth connection with your device. Step 2. Send each contact to the unit via bluetooth. You'll have to do each contact one at a time. It may be labled "Vcard" or something like that. Step 3. Establish connection with your phone and the unit once you've sent each contact. Step 4. Transfer contacts. You'll find this to work, as I did. I was pissed off for 3 days because my contacts would not load. Now I'm happy as a bear in a honey pit.
  24. I like this photo, but I'd like to see if any of you photoshop legends can put the icons below it with the text "Navigation loading" as well. http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/resour ... c_Logo.jpg Or, if anyone has some other ideas to create, that would be nice. I have 5 cars for my buisness, and just installed
  25. Can someone take this logo, photoshop the ipod, bluetooth, hdradio, navigation, msn, and the other functions onto the bottom with it saying "navigation loading".??? http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/resour ... c_Logo.jpg
