I have evrything in my mod except the ability to click the compass and change the night day mode. I guess if you want that as well I can add it tomorrow. Right now my compass changes the route itinerary when you click it when you are in route. Other than that my mod has everything that Cmh has cool, thx for the info, my biggest thing was having the tilt/zoom thing turned off. That and the MSN button,I know your mod does not have that, but maybe you could add it like Cmh928's, But it would be nice to have that below the compass always on so that way there is a quick link to history AND

or you can do like i did and take some airplane cable and attach that to the back of the unit, then attach that to metal parts in the dash. that way even if they try to take out the radio, they can take it far, it takes more then just wire cutters to cut through decent airplane cable (i even got nylon coated cable to protect from shorts if it were to come in contact with a wire it should not, got it from home depot, spent like $10 for it and the fasteners)

AND get the maps files for the diff programs and add them to there right places.

Well, I tried to change the clock color and re-zip the data.zip but when i installed it into the f90 all i got was a hand on the system is starting screen, So i guess I will have to find a way to zip the files into what the f90 can read from a mac. I was able to revert back to the original data.zip that came with your mod so no big deal. thx for the help anyways!!! Now if gnasr74 updates his mod with some of your newer updates I will be happy, but i can live with the way your is till then! Thx for a great mod anyway!!!!

sounds like some data got corrupted, Do you have a (compleat) back-up of the flash disc? Ifso try restoring it back from that, if not, you might want to re-download the 2.0 update and reload that into the unit.

I have a f90 installed in my Mugen Si and No issues like this at all (except when i run leetlauncher). my f90 runs fine for me

In your latest samantha file, sam says "take the next right/left" as "take thnext right/left". She's not pronouncing "the" all the way. She also still says it twice in a row sometimes. well, there is always the group buy way of doing it, a buncha people throw in part of the cost and get one copy and then we give eachother a copy of it from there (depending on how they distribute it that is)

thats why you make your own before you EVER start modding your system, I just got a f90 and I know not to do anything without backing up the original first so you can revert back to it if you have too.

I have stated as well that I don't mind paying for the Maps... it is the Firmware I have a problem with paying. That's like Microsoft charging you every time a update is released for Windows. We are not talking about a complete OS change like Windows 2000 to XP or Vista and even if they did, in this instance they have a product that is buggy. microsoft might not be a good example, Vista is very buggy for alot of people, and microsoft solution is......... Windows 7... wich you will have to buy (microsoft even said that vista was just a buffer in between XP in Win7)

as of right now its only possible in 3d mode not in 2d mode, BUT they are working on fixing that in the mod/hack area of the forum, hope they do!

if you have the software bypass all you have to do is ground the break wire, but be aware that if/when pioneer updates the firmware you might loose the software ability to do a bypass, but till then you are set.

I Would, but with my dyslexia I don't like to mess around with code too much. I have heard that if you don't use a certain program to unzip/zip the files it might mess them up in a way that the avic wont read them correctly? is this true (i need to know b/c I'm on a mac and i can't use the program they say to zip the data.zip back up with.

But you would also need a charging system wired in a way to recharge the batts while its plugged in, doing this wrong could cause ALOT more issue b/c of the batts not charging right and exploding, plus (unless you know how to isololate the battts from the main power supply coming in from the car) you would have to run the unit off those batts all the time, even when its in the car. Its not just as easy as strapping a 12 volt batt system to the unit and leaving it hooked up all the time. I guess I assumed my description of the fix was 'good enough'. I guess not. If you are getting the LoadLanguages Init failed error, you need to put in the LeetLauncher SD and boot up the machine. one question, doe gnasr74 mod have all of Cmh928'a newer additions (as in they way button work in on the map but with gnasr74 layout)? I'm wondering b/c I dont like the red clock in the corner (red is a little hard on my eyes to see as well, maybe if it was a darker shade of red then the bright red it is it would be better) plus i kinda like the original compas better, quicker to see what direction you are going at a quick glance for me.

It might be something pioneer put in there just FOR a bypass, like if you were installing the unit as a demo in a store you would ground the 2 wires and be fully fuctional OR if you are installing the unit in a diff place in the vehicle other then the dash (thinking RV or sleeper area of a truck, or something like that). OR they could have just realized that they would sell more if there WAS a way for the end user to bypass the safety features but thy could not just ship them bypassed from the factory due to laws in most states.
