  1. When I had hard wire bypass only, I would get a parking brake warning when I went over 10mph (I think that is the correct override speed), this continued until I did the software bypass. Either way, the question remains: can you still software bypass using testmode in 3.0 The only way that is possible is you screwing up the process. Moving and grounding the mute wire would have eliminated that problem.
  2. Not sure what you mean... Are you talking about watching video while the parking brake is off ?? The shop who installed me the Avic did this bypass for me... and this is still working. But maybe that's not what u meant... ?? Allright iaf_22 here's the nutshell: there are two types of bypasses, a hardwired and a software. The software is primary source of concern because of the questions with testmode's functionality. Hardwire fools the unit into thinking the parking brake is pulled. However, when you start moving, the gyros/GPS senses your moving and once you make it over 10mph, you
  3. Except that the new firmware doesn't support the old maps, and the new maps aren't supported by the current firmware. Therefore the map and firmware update MUST go hand in hand. Why is this so difficult to understand?
  4. Ok, i just checked it today : the answer is No... it doesn't pause the music (nor video) after answering a call. It just mute it. Third firmware rev and they still haven't fixed this. So much for Pioneer fixing the AVIC's issues. Thanks for the heads up.
  5. IAF - if possible, could you please check on the issue with a call coming in while listening to a CD? That will be the key feature for me going to 3.0. If it either pauses automatically or at least gives you the option to do so, I won't hesitate to upgrade. Thanks!
  6. Minor changes, considering 3.0 is right around the corner.
  7. As you can read on the first picture, the Maps are also updated. (1.0006 > 2.0002) Then the second SD is just a firmware update from 3.0 > 3.0003. It's a F900BT EU (and a EU update) so we (unfortunately) never had HD radio. That's only for US version. Do you know if the new firmware automatically pauses (or at least allows you to pause) the audio source when a call comes in? This was one of my major problems with the existing software. If you're listening to an audiobook, it continues playing silently for the duration of the call, making it very difficult to locate your place ag
  8. Wiretap is 100% correct on this. A tv antenna with the same reception characteristics is the same regardless of claims to be 'HD' or otherwise. All you're looking for is for it to be tuned to the appropriate frequency range and have the correct focus type (omni, directional, etc) and adequate gain. An antenna with higher gain will have a narrower focus. The advertising claim of some antennas to be designed for HD or digital purposes is complete garbage. The data coming across the antenna has nothing whatsoever to do with its design.
  9. I apologize for being involved in it the last time. You have to admit, though - it's a bit confusing that the on screen button tells you what it will switch you to, rather than your current mode. If you're not in an environment where the 3d aspect is obvious, it's easy to misunderstand which you're using.
  10. Sounds like you just need to leave the mute wire the way it is currently wired, but ground the pin you would have moved it to if you'd followed these directions.
  11. Edit - This is resolved now. The instructions posted here fixed me right up.
  12. http://www.everythingq.com/forum/moto-q ... post219481 This fixed the Q issues for me.
  13. Following these instructions, my Q9C is now working just fine with the F90BT.
  14. Have you synced your phonebook onto the AVIC?
  15. That would certainly explain it. I've never actually been driving through a town when switching modes, so I interpreted the labeling incorrectly.
  16. Yes, exactly. The arrow points in the direction of travel on the map, while the map is always oriented with North up (in 3d mode). In 2d mode, the arrow always points up and the map rotates to keep the direction of travel up. It's my wife's car, but I'll take a picture when I get an opportunity.
  17. Mine behaves the same way - north up in 3d, direction up in 2d. I assumed that was normal?
  18. Yeah, the current system mutes it. I'm specifically looking for a way to pause it when using the phone. When listing to an audiobook or podcast, if the phone rings it will continue playing (muted) while talking and cannot be paused. It's a big problem if you have to go back and find your spot from 20-30 minutes before.
  19. Motorola Q9C does not seem to work well at all IME. Locks up the phone and/or unit when calls are started.
  20. When booted into LeetLauncher, can the CD be paused when the phone rings?
  21. My wife showed me this problem on the F90 I installed for her over the weekend. Does anybody know of a hack to solve this? She listens to audiobooks constantly and it's a pretty big problem for her. I can see where most people might not even notice the problem with the typical 3-5 minute songs, but with an audiobook and long chapters with important information, it's terrible.
  22. Why didn't you just ground the Mute wire? Moving it without grounding it doesn't do anything. It would have saved you from the software mod entirely.
  23. You can find it on eBay for $550-560. I got mine for $558 and used the 8% instant cashback from Live.com. Total out the door price was $513.36. Here's the one I got. Should come in tomorrow.
