HI all. I did all the updates and the handbrake softmod, everything works as it should, i`m extremely impressed with this unit, mine is a F700BT. Anyhow I started looking at other mods posted on this site and there are two mods in particular that i really would like to use one is the GPS screen mute button, i tried the loading the text from viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18624 into the data zip folder, but unit just hangs then restarts, changed the data zip back and everything works fine. The other is I would like to see the turn icons with a transparent background, anyone got any of thes

So, as the F series hardware is the same as the X series, would this firmware update work on the X series models?

I had my reply from Pioneer today, my question to Pioneer with the answer below. My question to Pioneer: I purchased an Avic F700BT on July 1st 2009, I have read that there is a version 3 software and map update being released in late July or early August, and that the release will be free of charge for anyone that has purchased an Avic F model after May 2009.
