  1. Could someone upload http://www.sharebee.com? I've been getting that dumb 'our servers are overloaded' message on rapidshare, for the last three days trying to get that file. [Edit] Not sure if it's the same file, but I found it here; http://www.mediafire.com/?mi1jzrgn2xd

Seconded. None of the apps with run with the instructions from the Wiki. They all result in a 'We're Sorry...' titled window.
  3. Thanks, that should help quite a bit. Planning on doing some research into improving the boot time.
  4. Hello all, Has anyone been able to identify what version of Windows CE the latest 3.0 firmware update uses? (for the x910/f90). Searched the forums like a mofo, but couldn't come up with any answers.
  5. Turns out that Harman Becker wrote the software for them, and they went with QNX as a platform. Still looking into figuring out the image files. It's a royal pain, but I think I found a resource to help. I'll post an update when i have mor einfo.
  6. For those who want some more info: http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/25/chrysler-to-offer-hard-drive-base-mygig-head-unit/ http://www.chrysler.com/en/owners/mygig/
  7. That's a MyGig head unit from Chrysler. Usually found on 2007 and up extended packages. It's definitely not stock, but it is factory installed. Comes in two flavors, with nav and without. My father has the non-nav in his 2008 Sebring and it's really well done. Not a large screen, but it gets the job done and works very well. The system has a hard drive in it similar to the Z1/2/3. I have a friend who can image the drive that's on it, which should make skinning pretty easy. Since I have a Jeep, I thought it would be tricky/slick to have a seemingly factory skin on my aftermarket head unit
  8. Hello all, I'm still relatively new here, but I've taken a huge interest in the hacking of the F/X series. I used to be big into alternative shells for Windows and skinning applications for Windows before XP arrived on the scene. I'm a Windows developer by trade and am really excited about what can be done, and what has been done. I'm also a Jeep owner. I've seen the MyGig systems in action and in my opinion, they are very slick looking. Some examples follow. I know it's not everyone's slice of pizza, but would there be any interest in a MyGig skin for the F/X series? And in going
  9. Slightly off-topic, but not too far ... For what it's worth, just got off the phone with Car Toys. Gave them several sites with sub-$900 prices for the Z110BT. They pulled out the rebate argument on me. The lowest they would go is an up front cost of $979.00. That minus the $200 minus the bing cash back puts it at $681. Really debating this now. From what I've read, the Z110BT has superior voice recognition, boot up time and speed altogether. Take the savings total from a purchase of the X910BT and there's a $200 difference when it's all said and done between the X910BT and the Z110BT
  10. Not to reawaken the zombie thread here, but.. http://www.bargainunlimited.net/servlet ... car/Detail $898.99 {edit} For what it's worth, just got off the phone with Car Toys. 11. Damn, that's bitching info. Looking at the Z110BT for just about $600 is really making me think... haha
  12. Good to know about Car Toys matching the Amazon price. I never did get a chance to call today, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. I'll definitely inquire about that price matching though when I do call. 6ave came down on the price from their website for me after I had mentioned Amazon, but would only come down to $50 more than was listed on Amazon. The reason they gave was that you couldn't get the rebate through Amazon. Which, now that I have had some time to think about it, sounds a little strange. Thanks for keeping this thread going leeb18c. I'll let you know what more I find o
  13. OK, just got off the phone with a guy at 6ave.com. From what I was told, when you purchase through amazon it's noted within 6ave's records. When you submit the receipt/invoice and rebate form to Pioneer, Pioneer actually follows up with 6ave to find out if it was purchased through them or a 3rd party like amazon. At that point, 6ave will state that it was purchased through Amazon and the rebate will be voided. Mind you, this is coming from a sales rep at 6ave, and from what I'm told, they have an excellent reputation in quality and customer service. I'm going to follow up with CarToys
  14. Thanks for the info leeb18c! I'm going to call CarToys and 6ave tomorrow and ask them about their amazon purchases and the rebate, just to be sure.
  15. Still no word on if the rebates are working for Amazon purchases. Ah well, suppose I'll take the chance.
  16. Thanks for the info! Please let us know how the rebate turns out for you. I just saw that Cary Toys has added this HU for $529.99 as of tonight. And 6ave has it listed for $548.00.
  17. Hello all, I'm set to purchase an X910BT HU within the next week or so. I'm hoping some of you might be able to lend some help in tracking down some additional adapters/parts I'll need. Onto the details.. - No steering wheel controls. - No stock navigation. - No premium sound system. - Stock/standard radio (with the two dials) - Stock/standard radio bezel. Now, I've already picked up the navigation radio bezel for the jeep, so I'm all set with that, and have an install/bezel kit for the HU, which fits with the navigation bezel. Cruthfield does a great job telling you what you
  18. I'm curious, maybe you guys can help out. I'm set to purchase an x910bt in the next week or so, and was wondering where you guys are getting the rebate forms? I found a great deal, and even if it doesn't go through, the chance of getting another $100 off would be great! Hope that isn't too off-topic!
  19. Instead of making a smart alek response, why not post the search phrase you used to obtain that thread?
  20. Where are these elusive instructions?
  21. Hey guys, I was able to download the two images. Thanks much for posting them. Question: In reference to viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18353, do we need to use a dual layered DVD for these images? I'm quite ignorant about the navigation discs and am trying to get this boiled down to what I actually need to do with them.
  22. There are two listed on detroit.craigslist.com, but both are going for ~$300. (from memory) one states that a new circuit board (?) and outer plastic needs to be replaced. The other one simply stated that 'it just cut out one day' so who knows what the eff is wrong with them But, theyre up there.
  23. Hello All, New the forums, and did some searching but hadn't found anything about this. I have myself a 2006 Grand Cherokee with a stock radio install. I managed to find the double DIN bezel really cheap from a nearby supplier (Metro Detroit Area). I also managed to find a bare bones D3 pretty cheap. However, the guy I'm planning on buying from doesn't have a Chrysler/Jeep harness, so I'm going to have to pick one up. It's a special accessory/power lead/computer signal harness according to CF (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127C2RCHY4 ... ml?tp=3486). A really helpful guy at CarTunes ex

    AVID-D3 Used

I'm also going to be buying one used very soon here. I'm going to be installing it myself, as (from what I've read) its not that difficult, and cheaper for me to do so. Can anyone recommend the functions that I should walk through before I hand the guy all the cash for this?
