  1. I also use a Sandisk Ultra II 8GB SDHC full of MP3 and a Kingston 2 GB SD without any problem.
  2. It will take some days cause i use a different car this week. I keep it in mind.
  3. Well, i had no idea that the problem could be Yuri's mod cause i installed Yuri's first and later add a huge load of POIs n buildings. I rather thought i messed up everything by myself... About these greeen dots: i also thought it might be the GPS signal but it's always green here, i checked it in a tunnel after the voice said "gps signal lost" but it still was green.
  4. Your monitoring of the air of both subs are right. You switched on the sub output of your AVIC and so the AVIC split the range of frequencies to "normal till high" and "low" (sub). The "normal till high" frequencies go to the 'rear rca output' and the "low" goes to the 'sub rca out'. The one sub who get the "low" signals are quite happy with it and pump your air around. The other one on the 'rear rca output' is getting the middle and high frequencies which he can't play back very well - less air output and no "boom-boom". To make a better use of the 2nd sub you have some choices: 1.
  5. ohhhh.. that's why my unit crashed again nagain 2 days ago... thanks for the fix and the new version! I think this mod is so great that i don't install iGO 8.3
  6. Inside the AVIC it's not possible, at least not in the released versions. The software put "last name" plus " first name" together and store it in one field in the database. So far i see only 2 solutions: - edit the phonebook database with SQL lite http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=25630&p=174726&hilit=sql#p174726 or - sync your contacts to outlook and modify the given export script to build the database and store it in your AVIC http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25308
  7. After reading http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=25921 i thought if the idea could be solved here. Question: Is it possible to export the adresses of contacts as POIs? Does it make sense in the AVIC? I really wish we would have access to the source code of this phone application to improve it! They use a SQL database to store a name and a phone number as normal text and nothing more. There is much more potential in it like showing contact pictures instead of icons or set a contact as destination for navigation. Hellooo Pioneer!
  8. Then there might be sumthing wrong with your search skills... 1. AVIC F700/900 imports only name and phone number, any other information is thrown away... 2. no idea, i don't own apple products. But you can connect your iPod with a special cable to the AVIC and then you can control many functions right from the AVIC. The forum contains the detailed answers.

Seems everybody gave up here. But i can show you that more is possible. To avoid the error as shown in the pic in the last post you need to remove as much data as possible. Don't let iGO load 1.6 GB of data (fbl, poi, 3dl, 3dc, dem) into the emulator... To avoid the nag screen don't start MainMenu.exe. Instead start Ezrider.exe. While loading the application tells you what is missing while startup (if you cut too much). I started with only one language file, one voice, one vatican.fbl, no poi's, no buldings, no terrain. This is one step closer to what you want but as shown in
  10. Yes, the APL2 is the most important one. But a full backup would be also nice cause it makes it easier for the people who still have a 2.x A compare against a full US backup would be also nice to do.
  11. How did you find out/know the dwType? I scratched my head but didn't got it.
  12. So this it not the same for EUROPE what the US guys already have? The full 3.0 update with igo 8.3 and maps Correct. Till now we don't have access to a full backup of a EU V3.
  13. Cancek Route is in the latest release (check the thread for the latest download link). Voice Mute is planned for the next one. Thanks! Indeed i had an older release. Now i have the "Cancel route". Cool!
  14. Sorry for the confusion. - I had the latest 2.07 on my EU unit. - I used the testmode 2.3 to put on the hacked exrider+generic license. - i installed the newest maps for iGO 8.0 (maps says sumthing with 2008) - I updated WinCE then. - i copied the APL folder from a US Version 3 So i'm running a hybrid of V2 (the navigation plus 8.0 maps) and V3 (the rest of the software). To pimp up the old navigation i installed Yuri's mod that brings me closer to iGO 8.3. I hope i could make it clear.
  15. That would eliminate my last little complains on Yuri's mod: - missing actual clock in top right - buttons for cancel route and mute sound - visual GPS signal my thoughts: 1. About the buttons for cancel route and mute sound: i would move it to the lower right corner (horizontal) 2. The actual altitute i don't need at all... 3. Don't forget that the empty boxes on the left side (when not in navigation) show the street signs, so they are not useless in all cases. 4. I hope the boxes on the left are still transparent like in Yuri's...
  16. How about putting up your flash drive for the rest of us EU users...please 1. All things i used are available here in the forum. 2. You have to put the new Windows CE to your unit by yourself, the MyFlashDisk backup don't help you. 3. My unit is modded with Yuri's mod (for navigation) and with the Window 7 theme (appereance) 4. i updated only the maps i need now (if i drive to other countries in the future there will be newer maps again...) 5. i don't have webspace for 1.7 GB It doesn't make sense to use my backup, it is my personal pimped version. What you need is a stock V3
  17. If you bought a brand new unit with the old 2007 maps then contact Pioneer for a free update. I remember there was a thread here which said any unit bought after may 2009 get's a free update. Good luck!
  18. That would be interesting. The hardware is definitely different, from the software side i don't know any difference. Yep. I put on my EU unit: the new WinCE, the hacked Ezrider+License+2008 maps, the V3 APL folder. Runs smoothly and fast. I'm happy.
  19. That is correct. I did the WinCE update, copied the APL folder from V3, load the 2008 maps, installed Yuri's mod for iGO 8.0. So the only thing i miss are the 2009 maps which base on iGO 8.3. I'm quite happy alrady with my AVIC.
  20. Maybe all people who bought a brand new AVIC with V3 are so happy with it that they didn't went to this forum to pimp their unit.
  21. For avoid screen, press the button where the next turn arrow is shown (top one on the left). Thanks Boris, i found the screen. But so far it shows "Maneuver", "Street", "1", "2", "5", "10", "20", "30". Nothing to see about "cancel route" or "stop voice". Or was it scheduled for a future release?
  22. Anyone? I have an EU unit as well. 1) 8.3 maps 2) yes 3) it has US maps, you can add it to your EU unit 4) you need the 8.3 EU maps plus a license file 5) the torrent is a 3.0 version, that can be updated to a 3.1
  23. Did you forgot a "3.0" in your headline?
  24. how to go to the avoid screen? and which button to press to switch off the sound? I'm lost between all the new things. BTW, great mod!
  25. I suggest that the original poster make it clear in his first post that this is NOTa full version 3 update. The complete navigation part (igo 8.0) is still there from version 2, the new igo 8.3 and the new maps are not. So what you get if you follow the instruction is a hybrid of version 2 and version 3. Beside the update of the WinCE which brings a noticeable speedup of the response time you don't see much new. Don't be disappointed.
