  1. Wow! Thanks for the new year's gift. I love your mod. I've been away from this site for a while. I'm still using version 2.3. One thing that has annoyed me the most in the previous version is the speed camera/radar audible alert. I can't turn down the volume or mute it. The volume knob doesn't affect it. Would it be possible to add a mute option or shorten the length of the audible alert event? Please put it on your list of things to do for the next update or so.
  2. I watch movies all the time on my F700BT unit via SD card. If your movie is on a DVD, you have to use a software on your computer to rip it to your hard drive and convert it to AVI format. Click here for an example of such software. The following avi parameters works well. DivX or XviD codec Video resolution 640x480 or less MP3 audio File size less than 1 GB Any movies with extension .mp4, .mkv, .mpg, .mpeg, or .mov will not work. Also won't work, HD videos (720P, 1080i/p), .vob files from DVD, .ISO or .3gp videos from your cell phone. Some avi's have AC3 or multi-track audi
  3. Could you make it an option so we could try it out? If not possible, then you might have to split it off into version 3. Right now, version 2 is pretty close to perfect for me.
  4. You've got a Xmas gift via paypal. I love the mod so much I bought another refurb AVIC-F700BT for my second car. Now, I just need someone to modify the video player on this unit so it would play anything I throw at it. Then It would be a perfect GPS unit. Is there a way to launch CorePlayer from the IGO menu? I recall seeing a Run Application button somewhere in the settings menu.
  5. I have the firmware uploaded to Rapidshare, Megaupload, and Netload. I don't know if it's against the rule or not to post the links here. Can't find the forum rules anywhere. Let me know if I can post the links here.
  6. Updating WINCE will fix this problem. Read this thread for instructions: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25487
  7. Hi. I'm a long time lurker. Finally got something meaningful to pass along. I did the WINCE upgrade today. Two problems that irritated me the most were 1) Slow key response - which was alleviated by renaming some wav files, and 2) VBR MP3 song ends abruptly before the end of the song. The WINCE upgrade fixed both of these problems. Now, key response is quick. Scrolling is quick. VBR MP3 songs on the SD card are playing normally. I haven't tried using the USB drive or playing videos, yet. I guess Pioneer wasn't the problem here. I should have known better that it was Micro$
