  1. The X920BT is for sale as pre-order date on March 15 2010 on Amazom.com Just search X920BT amazom.com $1199.99
  2. None of this is new GM has had driver infomation center for years. Plus don't foget your ECM can have Pass-Lock I or pass Lock II. If you mess that up you would need to do the relearn so your car will start. this takes someone that knows what they are doing. Not the average Joe. Thanks for that address but I'll stay with my AVIC as my chevy already has as a factory option. If you have a lower end car the Garmin is a good way to go. 2005 Chevy with every option
  3. Sorry But if plug into the OBD II data port and change some thing, you could mess up the ECM or PCM ( ENGINE CONTROL MODULE or POWER CONTROL MODULE ) In some cases it controls your transmission (Automatic only ) Then you would have to have it reflashed. Or if you short it out you would have to replace it. They run sometimes up too and over a THOUSAND DOLLARS. I know I sell them to people all the time who mess with things they should not. I do not think Pionner would want to pay for that. I charge $70. just to flash your ECM and if you have an import you might have to take it to the Deale
  4. Very interesting. Are you using the the little metal plate that the manual say's to use under the antenna. Your antenna is magnetic and is supposed to be mounted on that plate. I noticed my wife's ( Joan ) F900bt takes a little longer to find it's position than my F90bt. I tried moving my antenna from the right side of my dash in my chevy ( It's on top of the dash inside next to the piller ) to the drivers side it maded no difference. Both cars are parked inside so it takes a little longer to get position. If I leave it parked outside it's dead on.

    Nokia E71x

Is any body using a Nokia E71x cell phone with an F90BT or F900BT and if so. Is it working well for you ? I am thinking of upgrading to this phone. Thanks All Jeff R. BTW I am a PC and never a MAC
  6. Will the hard wire bypass work on the X920BT ? Is it the same as F Series Thanks Jeff R
  7. To SeeBee63 There is a known problem with USB cable coming unpluged on the inside of the unit. It happened to mine. And if read on this forum you will read others that have had the same problem. Remove you unit. Remove the cover case and plug the USB cable back in. Give that a try or return your unit. It was Joans (my wife) F900BT but is the same unit.
  8. Grand Dad is cool. I am one too And yes there is life outside of AVIC411. Good for you But you will be back. Happy holidays to everyone and safe new year.
  9. You said that Ipod Icon won't light up. Try unplugging the CD-IU230V cable from the back of the unit maybe the cable is shorted out. You got nothing to loose Let me know tomorrow Good luck Jeff R
  10. How old is your unit if it less then two years old it is still under warranty ?
  11. Yes I do but they are grayed out. But should not have any effect. I agree. I just went to get some ice cream it's still in the 70's in the desert. In Joan's F900BT Their is a brightness ajustment in the nav setting tab. Top Menu then setting lower right. Sorry it takes a while to to back to you I am building a computer for a friend.
  12. I have A/V1 set to Ipod A/V2 is set to Video. I use A/V2 for my rear DVD player when my 3 year old is in the truck and we all want to here whats playing. I wonder if your video driver is corrupted or the resolution is too high
  13. Are any of the other Icon's grayed out. Odd that A/V1 does not light when pressed.
  14. Just checked I turned off A/V1 and A/V2 and can play DVD with video.
  15. I do not think so. The iPod Audio/Video Cable (CD-IU230V) should be pluged in the A/V inputs on the A/V harness in the back of your unit. The USB cable from the(CD-IU230V) should be pluged in the USB cable from the back of your unit. If it is hooked up this way it will have no affect on Video display. And yes AV1 and AV2 should have no affect. AV2 is the the front A/V input and A/V1 is the rear. You can change the setting in AV1 to OFF - Video - or Ipod Of course you can try to turn off AV1 remove SD card if you have one in. From the Map screen.Insert a DVD it should display READING FORMAT t
  16. Sounds like software and not a hardware issue.Since your map display's. You might need to reinstall your software. Do you have a backup of your unit ? If not you can download 2.0 or 3.0 firmware. The 2.0 can be downloaded from the Pioneer web site free of charge. There is alot of info on how to do that on this Forum. Or if your unit is still under warranty you could send back to Pioneer. Their customer service is not that great. Good luck Jeff R
  17. I guess you tried to reset you system ? Do you have your unit bypassed at all software or hard wire ? And do you get audio on DVD-CD-Ipod-and scan disc. Does your unit read format from the souce ? Last question. I guess your Map does display ?
  18. I know this string is about the (Microphone Stopped Working) But I just have to ring in on Pioneer customer service. I agree it seems to be the company line to say there's nothing wrong with your unit. I have sent my F900BT in twice for the same problem, paid twice to ship it and it still has the same problem. MSN will not active on status screen but does get most info. I have an F90BT and it activates MSN in 30 seconds or less every time I fire up my unit. The 900 was in the same truck so it's not the antenna or the wiring, installation. So yes Pioneer customer service is not very good. Bu
  19. Sorry but no. It does't work that way. it's not a dual zone. The Z110BT is.
  20. Make sure that your Yellow wire on the power harness is always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position. This is called constance power wire. It needs to always have power even with the key off.
  21. To WeApOn I have a remote start and F90BT with hard wire bypass. Everything works just fine. Try this turn key on to start but do not start your car and see if it boots up properly. Now you will see if your problem is a loss of power while your systems boots up. If your problem is still there, then It's not the the remote start. You may need to try this a few times to see if the touch screen freezes. Some starter systems will take all the power from the battery to start your car and when you let the key go back to on or run it sends power back to the Avic. It's like turning on your headlight
  22. To weaseal they are pointing you in the right direction !! You must us AV1 input in rear of your unit and must use CD-IU230V cable. If you want your Ipod to work properly, And use a real Pioneer cable if you want it to work right. I bought one on E-bay (open Box) for $5.98 the BEST-BUY outlet (dealTree) make sure it's a Pioneer cable. AV2 is good for A/V from an exturnal source like a DVD player or Video game not an IPOD. Also you must go into A/V settings and change AV1 to Ipod. I have an 32Gb Ipod touch and it did not chagre from the aftermarket cable I bought from the local car a
  23. To bryvale If you have any questions on how to use or set up an external screen PM me I will more then happy to help you. Thanks Jeff R
  24. As VBLUE42 says Video only but here's what you get GPS on AVIC and DVD on second screen at the same time with audio
