How do I get to the anti- theft screen? I don't recall ever seeing it.

I was wondering i there Is a way that I can lock my avic. I would like to be able to lock it at times when my car is with someone so I don't have to worry about them messing settings up. Hope someone can help me put. Thanks

Quick question for you. I have a 2001 A4 as well. I am installing the f90bt with the 99-9105 metra kit. I have been having a hard time getting it to fit perfectly. I placed the deck in without brackets and front piece in and it fits fine. Then I tried installing just the brackets and front piece. It worked fine. BUT.... when I put them together and try to slide it in, the bottom of the front trim piece will not mount flush as it should. Seems like something is blocking it. Or maybe I am placing the side brackets on wrong. Seems to me though that there is only one way mount them using the holes

what I meant by it didn't work was after doing all those steps the unit would boot for a few seconds then turn off. Sorry I didn't explain that in prior post. It seems like little things like that, that are left out tends to be a big difference.

Ok, so I have finally gotten somewhere with my issue. After a couple days of headaches and frustration I decided to try reinstalling the 3.0 x series flash that I was trying to get rid of to go back to the original 2.0 that my unit came with. Couldn't get the 2.0 to work but for whatever reason I had no problem getting the 3.0 working. So I now at least have a unit that works. I will take that any day as opposed to a bricked unit. So random boots to destination menu are fine for me for now!

Could the problem be I have the F90BT. The original post started with the F90BT but most everything else mentions the F900BT. I don't know. Was thinking that may be part of my issue. ..???... Wish I could just figure this out!

Wow!! Great writeup. Very detailed. Now I do have to ask something. I actually was in my car till 3:30am Tue/wed night and then again from 9am Wed till about 8:30pm doing all of those exact steps. I have a F90BT and had installed the 3.0 x series update to it. After a few (what I consider minor, compared to now) glitches I decided to try to go back to the original 2.0 that I started off with. I eventually figured that I needed that copy of testmode that you outlined, had a copy of the 2.0 that consisted of 17 rar files that I downloaded(was not smart enough to backup), had 2 sd cards and a usb

Has anyone had any luck figuring out what may be causing this issue?

if this persist, does anyone know if I can just get the 2.0 firmware and put it on a memory card as if I was updating it, but really trying to get it back to how it was when I got it. thanks for any help

I have tried to reset the unit as well but after loading up a few times it began to do the same thing. It does not load to destination menu every time. To me seems to load normally 4-5 times then loads to destination menu twice. Sort of a repetitive sequence happening. The times that it does load to destination menu i can not use map or menu button and if I hit the"arrow back" button on the screen it jumps to the screen that ask if you want "random" "repeat" or something else(can't remember at the moment) on or off. Just weird overall. Hope it can get resolved.
