Just got my 700 BT upgraded to a 930 BT through warranty. Really missing the voice control; especially while trying to make a call. I then remembered that iPhone (4) has voice calling built into it. I tried it out and it works great through the 930. Hope this helps anyone with an iPhone that has voice control

tcobizness74 Thanks so much for the info you posted regarding the iPhone 4.0 and contacts. I tried it and it worked beautifully. I didn't even know there was a problem until I tried to call my wifes cell. So i checked this site right away and I saw this post and changed all my contacts to one line. Thanks again. DNGS403

Sorry I couldn't help. It's hard when you can't see for yourself what's going on. My experience with this unit is it's usually something stupid. Hope the update works for you. As I posted before it help my unit greatly. Wish Amazon shipped to Canada as well. Later Dave

Larry Sounds like your unit has reset itself to the default settings when the power was cut to it. 1. Goto settings then back up camera and reverse your polarity settings. 2. Pushing the multi control for longer than 2 sec does mute the unit. Just press and hold again to unmute it. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Stati ... al0606.pdf 3. This could be a number of things. Was it working fine before? Ensure your AV1 is set to iPod. Failing that try a new cable. 4. Check your AV settings and check sub woofer is on. 5. Just so my fellow Canadians know Pioneer just reduced the price to $75CND with shipping/tax it came to $96. http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/POCEN/ ... 100FM.Shop Well worth it! This seems to have fixed my reboot issue I was having while going to settings, map is WAY clearer especially in daylight, unit response time is quicker' however boot up time still sucks. Thanks for the help terron...But a simple Yes or No would have been more helpfull. I did search this issue and out of hundreds of posts I only found 1 that said I could.

First I want to thank you for all for the great info so far on this site. Now is it true that you can use the X Series updates on the F-Series units? I currently have a AVIC-F700BT and I am thinking of trying the AVIC-X710BT software update. I don't think that any of us should have to pay for this fix\update.
