D3 AND IPHONE A NO GO (UPDATED!!! IT WORX)
Blizzard replied to VBLUE42's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Byron, first...welcome! Now, do you really still need the CD-UB100 USB adapter after getting your iphone? I had one, and hated the interface, so back to Crutchfield it went... Just trying to save you some $$ if it's not too late that is...if you are happy with the USB adapter, by all means, enjoy it! Maybe you are using it for something other than music? One thing I have noticed is that accessing songs from the iPhone on my D3 is quite a bit faster/quicker versus when I was using the video iPod...maybe I'm crazy though...but it definitely seems faster now when I go from track -
My D3 is now paired to my new iPhone...autoconnect and all.

D3 AND IPHONE A NO GO (UPDATED!!! IT WORX)
Blizzard replied to VBLUE42's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Update: Got it working... I wasn't holding down one of the selections where you register the phone...I was just tapping the selection and it would not take doing that. I grabbed the instruction book for both the BTB200 and D3 and found out that I need to hold the selection down for a few seconds. As soon as I tried that, it connected...and now stays connected. It's amazing what you can do when you read the instructions Thanks for the help! -
D3 AND IPHONE A NO GO (UPDATED!!! IT WORX)

Yes, that is the one I have.... Still cannot get it to autoconnect at all. I have to manually connect it each time I get in my vehicle...which stinks! Gonna play with it some more tonight to see what I can get...may try resetting the BTB200 to see if that helps maybe... Really love the iPhone...but I wish it could connect for me... -

D3 AND IPHONE A NO GO (UPDATED!!! IT WORX)
Blizzard replied to VBLUE42's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
In my case, I can only get audio from the iPhone when it is connected via the ipod cable. I could not get my phone to work (while the cable was connected) and I also could not get any video to playback from the iPhone to the D3 (with or without cable). Looks like I'll just have to keep my ipod for use w/ the D3 (I just leave it in the glovebox anyway)...and hopefully get my iPhone to autoconnect all the time at some point...I guess I'll be happy then -
D3 AND IPHONE A NO GO (UPDATED!!! IT WORX)

Same story here with my D3. I had actually hoped to replace my iPod (80GB Video) with my iPhone actually, but that may have been wishful thinking on my part I guess. Now, as far as auto-connecting goes....are some getting it to work (permanently) or does it just come and go? So far, today anyway, I have not been able to get mine to autoconnect at all. -
And another quick question...if I'm wanting to use this camera as an "ALWAYS ON" camera (such as either a "baby" cam or as a "boat" cam)...do I just leave the Rear Pulse lead completely disconnected? many thx

Do I need to connect the Power lead on the Camera to the Battery (+12VDC) or to the Ignition (On/Off) lead? I've lost the instructions and I currently have it connected to the Battery (+12VDC) and I can't get it to work...before I try it connected to the On/Off lead - i wanted to ask here. Thanks for any/all help! Mike

Antenna Adapter: I got it locally at circuit city (bought online and picked up in-store) for around $16-$18 IIRC. Metra Nissan Antenna Adapter (40-NI10) MET 40NI10 http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra-Ni ... tDetail.do

Keep in mind that we will all probably need (or want - depending on what channels/features you can get) new equipment for satellite radio after the Sirius/XM merger is complete. That's just my guess anyway... I have sirus for now (NFL) but I'm almost sure that I'll have to buy new equipment for the AVIC D3 within a year....

Anyway someone could hook me up with something Nissan Armada related? Specifically, a White Armada? Many thanks... other than that...I request more hot chick screens... :)
-
I already have my D3 installed along with Sirius. I'll soon be hooking up the (free) rear-view cam... I'm going to order the Bluetooth (BTB200) from CF here soon...but I'm wanting to add a couple more pioneer products to take advantage of the 15% off code again. I have an 06' Nissan Armada...currently w/ stock speakers (no amp). Certainly any change in the speakers/amps would be an upgrade, wouldn't it? Can anyone make any recommendations for me? I would like to buy 1 Amp, and 2 sets of speakers. Rear Door: 5 1/4" Front Door: 5 1/4", 6 1/2", or 6x9 Totally c

Costco recently changed their return policy on TV's/camera's etc. It's now 90 days (not forever) I'm in California - this just took effect about 2-3 weeks ago and it will be going nationwide I believe. I'm not sure where car Stereo falls into their new return policy, but take for example the TV policy includes a/v projectors... Just an FYI to everyone...

yeah, mine is like that too, although I don't think it takes that long to get used to. it's much better than having to touch the screen or turn a knob while you are going 80mph down the road though About the illum color, I honestly have not tried to match it up perfectly as of yet. It's on my list of things to do....what I have is close, but probably not perfect.

pw4ix-a3zbi-tgs8t You should be able to input it before you checkout? if you don't see it - just give them a call and they'll hook you up.
-
No, I don't think it has this feature...that would be nice... No, I was in such a rush to get everything finished that I really just didn't want to take th etime to take a bunch of actual install pics (sorry!) However, the PAC SWI-PS was pretty easy. You can get vehicle specific instructions from the PAC website that makes it really simple. For my Nissan, I only had to hook one wire (White) from the PAC and connect it to my 12 VOLT/Battery wire (RED). I also had to ground it. I think those were the only 2 wires I connected from the PAC...there may be one more that I'm fo

Just a warning: Supposedly that coupon has been DENIED by a ton of CC's because they have a note on the back wall somewhere telling the cashiers not to accept that one. I read this on slickdeals.net a week or so ago...lots of folks saying that the coupon was denied. Just letting you know....

Hey all - I promised some pictures of my AVIC-D3 Installed and I'm happy to say that I've finally gotten the time to post them. Enjoy~! Navigation really has impressed me. I've already used it much more than I ever thought I would. It's "off" by only maybe 5-10 feet at the most...and most of the time it's dead on. The Sirius playback is excellent. I know it's not as fancy as XM is - but I'm sure that will change later this year once the Sirius and XM merge is complete. I connected my wife's Video Ipod and let's just say that my Ipod is being delivered tomorrow...as I was v

I just got off the phone (Kieth at CF) told me that they'll probably ship it separate...so you'll get the stuff that is in-stock asap...and then the camera later (most likely).
-
I actually returned it as well - didn't realize that it didn't do WMA..so, I have ended up just getting a 80GB Video Ipod...the interface is so much better than the USB...and it will play anything you throw at it for the most part.
-
yeah, I boxed mine back up about 5 minutes after installing it..returning it to CF. hated it!
