  1. If I'm reading your post right I think the unit wants you to search for it from your phone.
  2. You guys should really look into Newsgroups or FTP. Rapidshit and other sites like it are garbage for sharing files.
  3. If it's been a problem for that long they should fix it or have the map software co fix it. Obviously they don't care about it if it's been a prob for so long.
  4. Really!?!? I find that kind of funny, if not tangent to this thread.
  5. Are those roads showing up on the navi?
  6. Try hard resetting the unit. If you got it used it would probably need a reset and a new home location set. If it's not that then your antenna could be broken.
  7. Yep. As stated above. You probably got your cables plugged in backwards.
  8. Placement could very well be your issue. Some people say that it takes a few weeks for the device to learn your area. I say thats BS. Try relocating the antenna and see if you get better or worse results.
  9. There are members on this board that can sell you copies of the new disks if thats what you are talking about. There are other means too but that depends on if you want to go that route.
  10. So it tells you where you are on the map when it's not calculating a route? If not then it could be a faulty antenna.
  11. The disks were more than likely replications of the original (copies). If they are not then he truly got a good deal.
  12. Is your iphone Jail broke? If so it could be the custom apps that are running on the phone.
  13. Maybe (I don't really know if they have or not) they could drop the price of the remaining 110's then. I know they offer a 200 rebate but thats not the same. Yes, you are basically getting a new unit for 200. What I want to know is why it came so soon and not with the unit in the first place? Pandora has been around for a while, Scrolling techniques that are being taunted have been around. The only thing I can see that pioneer did not know about before release of the 110 was the new roads. Anyway this has been run into the ground so I will part this thread and return to mainly reading
  14. Vblue42, I understand what you are saying but you need to understand where some of these people are coming from also. Many of them paid 1000-1500+ for this unit not even a year ago. Now they are being asked to shell out another 200. Now they don't have to get this update but if they want the updated maps then...... I don't mind paying 200 for the features but like I stated before. I did not pay any where close to retail for my unit. I'm sure the update is worth the money. Its just that some are a little irritated that they just plopped down so much for this great unit then to be hit with thi
  15. Well I got my mic in the mail yesterday. So Hooked it up and guess what. IT works great!!! All my friends and family say I sound pretty good when calling them so it's all good from that stand point. I have a few suggestions to other users that are having troubles. I put my mic above my visor and it's pics up the sound fine. Obviously if you have the AC full blast or the window down you are going to pic up that ambient noise. These mics are good but they are NOT THAT GOOD. So remember, when you are using it it pics up everything and this may be the problem with some of you guys.
  16. You need the cable stated above. Your ipod may work with other cables but you will not get sound through your car speakers. (it's pretty dumb on the user side but smart on pioneers part) If you hook your regular ipod cable up it will seem like it's working but when you go to play a song or what ever it won't play since it does not have the 3.5mm jack plug in.
  17. I tried the 910 and it would not work for me. I don't know if the unit was defective or what. I read somewhere on here that the unit would work with the exception of navtraffic. It did not for me, however when I attached the 920 it worked right away. The best thing to do is try it and see. it won't hurt anything if you try it.
  18. I would think so. There are supposedly no HW cahnges in the new 120bt so the memory limitations would still apply. I think and this is just a guess, that the 2500 file limit is where the cache stops because if the other memory i used for other things. Ipod, BT and such. It has to retain all that info also. Probably any more than 2500 and it starts messing with other features that need caching.
  19. Not sure what the Z3 GPS plug looks like but if they are different then it should be a simple swap of the plug adapter. I know from D3 to z110bt thats what I did.
  20. I understand that but I don't see how it could be wired wrong when works for the most part. Which wire coming out of the harness should I use. I used the purple/white wire from the back of the harness.
  21. So by on you guys mean in the menu (on/off)? If that is the case then I will try that and see what it does.
