  1. So you got bypass done right? yup sure did, i was watching dvd music videos....well not watching, just playing them, lol and controlling nav on the way to work this morning.i just stripped of the ends of the mute, park, ground wire from pioneer harness, and groud wire on my connects 2 harness, twisted them all up together and put them in a crimp cap and crimped it up. and obviosuly moved the mute wire to new location.
  2. Does anyone know, or has anyone tried the TA 2009.6 Map Updates from the F Series, and does it work on the x910bt. because the maps on my unit say they are from 2008. Ive done Diaftias mod already but i just want to know whats the best way for me to update the maps without losing any current mod. The only other thing i was thinking of trying was the FX 3.1 mod, but i think that will remove the diaftia mod, but can i just do the diaftia mod again after i load the FX 3.1 Image? I just want to update the maps the easiest way possible.
  3. does anyone know if i flash this image over top of my current stock image on my x910bt with diaftia hybrid mod, will i lose that mod? if yes, can i simply just do the mod again? basically im just looking to get the updated maps, as my maps still say they are from 2008. also i heard that these new TA maps arent as details or as good as the older maps, because no highway signs or something. if anyone can confirm this, ill probably update the maps anyways, just cause to have newer maps.
  4. ok so i finally got my unit installed this morning, so what mod do you recommend i go with, the diaftia mod? if i just do his mod will it do all the important mods?
  5. alright, after weeks of anticipation and waiting to get my unit and install equip, finally got to install everything today, and once i had both harness in front of me everything made a lot of sense. bypass worked great, was able to get up 60MPH while watching movie to test it out. i did hardware bypass.
  6. have you ever dialer 411 on a phone? if yes, what were you trying to get out of it?
  7. are you serious about the 411 question???? wow
  8. thanks, yes i ended up buying x910bt brand new. still waiting on my connects2 harness and pioneer lead to install the unit. researching mods and bypass in the meantime.
  9. sorry, i do not believe i was out of line. regardless, i am sorry. after reading my posts, i guess i just sound dumber than i actually am. but like i said, i just like to have facts, and 100% instructions. but i guess ive gotten exactly what needs to be done from the forum, and i will venture elsewhere to help me with the procedure. thanks again
  10. actually i know what im doing, as i wire shit daily. i just like to have the facts, not a thread with a punch of opinions. and the only reason im asking so many questions is because i havent even take the unit or its harness out of the box yet, and im sure when i do shit will be a lot more clear. but thanks for the doucheness.
  11. yea i know its all in the first few posts. but obviously people asking about it, i dont get why no one has a step by step picture guide or video guide from beggining to end. the pin move looks easy enough, its how and where to ground the wires i believe most people have problems with.
  12. ok, i still havent even opened my units box, so i dont know what it looks like, but after i use the taps for the pb and mute wire to attach to ground, what do i do with the ends of them, do i attach them to where they are supposed to be attached, or just take the ends off, or just leave them alone.
  13. i just got my unit, dont get all my install equip until next week, so til then im going to be planning out my mods. im really debating whether or not i want to do this, my main question is that the diaftia mod is not on the latest fw for x910, will this make any problems when installing mod, im not sure what fw my unit is on cause its still on the box, but if its on the newer fw will it be ok to roll it back to the mod fw? also if i dont do the hardwire bypass. does this have the software bypass fully operational to watch videos/dvd and control nav while driving?
  14. anybody got any audi ones, there is one when i searched, and the other ones no longer exist
  15. see but when i look at that thread, it doesnt give any info on what wires to ground and where to ground them. i know its explained everywhere on this forum, but no one has good pictures of where to ground. that thread just shows the pin move. what should i use to ground the 2 wires? T-Tap, or just cut open the shielding and strip the two wires and wrap around and tape, what is the best method. im sure once i get the stuff, i will figure out which is the ground wire, and which are the two that i need to ground. but any dummy explanation would be great, and any input on tools ill need to install
  16. What is easier, which works better. do they function the same? which one is most people doing. im leaning towards the hardware mod, but im not entirely clear on which wires i need to ground and where to ground too. although the moving of the mute wire looks easy enough. if anyone can inform with pictures maybe, i have searched also, and havent found anything that has really answered my question fully. also if i do the software mod, by using diaftias hybrid mod, does that require doing any of the hardware mods before it works. like do i still have to move the mute wire, and do i still have to g
  17. ok so ill be getting my x910 soon, and i know this is the bypass for that as well. but on the first page, the instructions only say to move the mute wire. my question is after moving the mute wire, which wires do i ground or connect to other wires?
  18. did you ever get it figured out, im gettin x910 this week, and also have a 06 audi a4, non bose.
  19. seller flaked on me, im back on the market then, probably going to get the x910bt.
  20. well i went with the f900bt for $450 deal, i really hope i didnt make a bad decision. but i just figured that i should be able to update it to 3.0fw and with some hacks that it will be comparible in functionality as the x910bt.
  21. no input at all yet? cmon guys, i have to make my decision by tonight, a little help would be great
  22. Ok so i got a guy that is selling his f900bt with hd radio, ipod cable, all necessary stuff to install in my car, cuz he had the same car for $450 shipped to me, he has the original box and everything. it is on fw 2.0. my dilemma is that i have read that the f900bt unit is slow and laggy, but for this price should i care, i mean its pretty much gonna be plug and play into my car, the guy has the harness, dash kit, pacswi steering wheel control adapter everything. my other option is to buy a brand new x910bt that ive found for 615, and then it will probably cost me another 100-150 to get all th
