  1. OK, I believe I figured out a little bit more for those who are having the the problem with the map not showing the current location despite having a GPS fix in Primo. It seems Primo does not like to be shut down abruptly without going through its exit cycle and causes this bug to occur on some units. An abrupt shutdown happens on my f900bt whenever I shut off the ignition, unlike the standby that occurs in my f500bt. Oddly, if the unit get a GPS fix in the same area it was shut off it will show my location on the map. For anyone having this problem I have not found a way to reverse it, yo
  2. It centers on Big Ben, thats great news! That means that it is either the building file or the POI file which decides where the map is centered before you get a GPS fix for the first time. Mine centered on our Parliament building and then gets a fix on my location when I started it for the first time. I am optimistic that Primo does not like multiple building files and won't center on your location if it initializes in another county. Perhaps it will turn out it worked out for the best that your system couldn't find any map files. I look forward to your results with only one of each map/p
  3. Sorry, I don't understand. You have TMC on the stock iGo and not Primo? Sorry, I couldn't tell you as I don't have TMC here.
  4. Oh, I thought it was putting you in France before? When you comment out the lines under folder it will look for maps, ect in its own directory. So long as you put a basmap file in the map folder it won't give you a "no maps found" message. Are you certain you put the maps in the same directory that you ammended your sys.txt? There are 2 as I stated above, Primo and Primo2. Try launching Primo in test mode. The sys.txt is set to port 6 because the port splitter splits port 7 to 5 and 6 I believe, and all 3rd party programs use port 6. If you shut off the port splitter or choose to not au
  5. Bonjour, êtes-vous essayer d'utiliser TTS anglais ou en français? Je n'ai pas testé française donc je peux pas dire si cela fonctionne correctement. Anglaise fonctionne très bien sur mon F900BT.
  6. Thanks! Did you have any luck with your Primo GPS issues? If so we would really like to know how you fixed it!
  7. You can remove all the 3rd party GPS programs by deleting them from the APL4 folder. Primo is in APL2 and there are two folders there you can delete, Primo and Primo2. If you tap Avic Net, settings, settings menu, and Navigation when you select each GPS program it will allow you to change the programs name, path, icon ect. and even clear the program. If you clear it it should delete it from the Navigation menu. I played with Navigon a bit but couldn't get it to launch. If you would like to try your luck make sure it is first working in testmode, and then add it to the APL4 folder. You ca
  8. It may be possible, but I have no idea how. It seems to be set up for USB modems only. I tried tethering with my WiMo phone and a program called USB modem, but it didn't want to assign it a COM port. When/if I have some spare time I will investigate further but I don't have an iphone to test. Does the iphone have an app where it can be connected via usb and recognized as a modem? This is different then internet sharing and would be the place to start.
  9. I really don't understand why it works for some people but not others. I wonder if it has something to do with what is in your content folders? That is really the only difference between your unit and others who are not having the same issue. Do you have lots of space on your unit? If so you can comment out all lines under [folders] in Primo's sys.txt and copy select maps and other content to Primo's content folders. Note the Primo folder is for iGo Primo and the Primo2 folder is for iGo Primo w/o iGo8; each have their own sys.txt. Try copying only one map (besides the basemap), one dem
  10. Surely there must be some custom mods for your f320bt? Many allow you open a 3rd party program which will allow you to start Primo. Chucks and Diaftia's mods do here. It may be easier then trying to re-invent the wheel. When you search, don't discount Italian and Russian sites. I have found a wealth of information on non-English sites/threads. Use Google chrome and it will translate to English for you.
  11. It's my pleasure! I am happy to give back to the AVIC411 community after it has given me so much. Thanks again for your help on the Euro AVICnet. No, you don't have to reboot unless you start Primo w/o iGo8 since it kills the ezrider process which includes the AVICnet menus. You can run the stock iGo with one other GPS program at a time. Make sure you close the other GPS program before launching another or you will get an error when attempting to launch a 3rd program. The video shows how to launch and close each program. To return to the second GPS program if you go back to the top
  12. It would be best to erase your my flash disk before copying on to your unit, sometimes left over files yield unwanted errors.
  13. The Euro version has been added in Post #2. Thanks to Ovalball for bouncing files back and forth and assisting in getting it working. Note the Avic Net icon on the Top Menu is now labelled as Destination as it was originally.
  14. The Euro version will support TMC and UK English TTS. If you tap on "Destination" in the top menu, it will bring you to a new menu where you can launch all 3rd party programs.
  15. Good question! Attempting to do run everything in testmode would be much more work then modding the stock GPS program. If you could it would be best to launch Primo from inside your stock/custom mod to retain the most functionality. Anyways, to answer your question, no I don't know how to enable sound in windows CE.
  16. Could you temporarily delete or move the France maps for troubleshooting purposes? I never seen the screen you are refering to with Garmin, TomTom, ect before.
  17. I suppose when I was referring to resources I meant RAM. A few examples on my unit as per WR-Tools ResInfo: Stock iGo without Primo running: 219 MB total, 128 MB free Stock iGo with Primo running (low mem requirements): 219 MB total, 91.9 MB free Primo only, ezrider process killed: 219 MB total, 94.1 MB free Ezrider killed, only AV and MainMenu processes running: 219 MB total, 148 MB free Testmode, Primo running: 219 MB total, 156 MB free I tried doing away with the stock iGo all together, but the pesky "System Startup, please wait" message never goes away so until we figure out
  18. It only works on the F series, x710bt and x910bt so far as I know. Check out the X-series section for specific information on your unit.
  19. Hey Abb, Out of curiosity, what mod are you using to launch Primo? One thing Chuck and myself have found is that if you use a close command rather then a kill command on ezrider it does not free up the required memory for it to run properly. Before providing any files here I had driven a 3000 km round trip over the course of a week with Primo using my f500bt and it did not have a single memory error. It even came in/out of standby perfectly when shutting off and turning on the engine for a <3 second resume. During that trip I had driven through them mountains using a premium DEM file (
  20. Sure, after we get the Euro version working properly I will need some files from your Aussie AVIC. I will PM you. In the meanwhile, you could try the NA download. TMC and Aussie TTS probably won't work but if that is secondary for you it should hold you over. Note if you have a f500bt oziexplorer doesn't want to see the GPS, but it is working on a f900bt.
  21. Thanks! A few good places to find maps are here and here.
  22. Thanks! Can you edit your previous post and delete the quote from post #1? It takes up a lot of unnecessary space.
  23. If you are refering to schemes, copy them to the apl2\igo\content\scheme folder. No idea if we will ever get the OBDII working, our AVICs have handicapped bluetooth which probably won't allow us to connect that way. I will try out an OBDII to usb unit first and see how that goes. If you have any luck, let us know!
