  1. I understand all electronics encounter some problem but you as the manufacturer are responsible for fixing those problems. I just want what I paid for. I just spend my hard earned money somewhere else from here on out. We really dont have to accept subpar quality!
  2. I feel the same way! I've sent my unit back for service several times, it was supposedly replaced with another unit and its still not right! I'm pretty sure Pioneer has lost me and my extended family and friends as future customers. I used to be an advocate of the brand and now I have nothing positive to say about them. I cant recommend them to anyone and feel good about it. Pioneer....sorry you've done it to yourself!
  3. anyone else having problems with no music from your ipod when connected? I'm having this same problem with video as well! Just got off the line with Pioneer support and they said it was tested there and is not a know issure. Is there a way to re-download the iOS5 to make sure it was downloaded correctly? Thanks
  4. I'm having a few problems with my x920bt since going to ios5! No ipod music, I can see the display on the screen but I cant hear anything. No Pandora. It just stays paused. No video. The image shows on the screen and only plays for a milisecond and then pauses. I sure hope they get this fixed! I am not very happy that this unit has a pretty crappy GPS (indicator not displayed on screen correctly) and now this. I'm loosing faith in Pioneer.
  5. Just fix the damn map/vehicle indicator accuracy and I'll be happy! All the OEM units I have used over the years have been spot on! My X920BT lags behind and is not acceptable for the high dollar unit that it is! When I pass a street or bridge, I should not have to look down at the unit and it shows me (my vehicle) as just approaching it.
  6. Thanks. I actually hit the reset button for distance this morning. Right now the sensor is initializing. I'll keep you all informed.
  7. Funny....mines has never completed the 3d Hybrid set-up phase. The bar indicator never finishes the last 5-6 bars.
  8. 1loudls..... Thanks for the tip. I tired this and the nav seems really jumppy and has a lot more location/ display errors. One thing I did not do was reset the learning status - it still reads "3d hybrid". I'm a little reluctant to start all over from scratch and not have it work. Thanks again, Tony
  9. I have a Trailblazer SS with an avic x920bt. I am looking for something simple with my name in it like "Tony SS" with maybe a design in the background. The "SS" would be in the same script as the SS on the trailblazer. If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Thanks again for the information. I hope to have the vss unhooked this weekend. This will be like my 1 millionth time removing this unit!
  11. Thanks. I was also thinking about disconnecting the reverse signal. I'll try the vss first. I thought the vss was to make it more accurate.

    New AVIC App Mode

will this be a firware update for the 920?
  14. This has been my complaint to Pioneer and the reason for sending it back both times. I cant believe they would just throw parts at it and send it back to me as being "repaired". I've spoken with techs at Pioneer and no one from Pioneer has told me its "operating as designed" the way its currently operating. I brought my question here when I first installed it and no one mentioned they had the same problem. This is new software upgrade you speak of, when is this to be released. What is it going to cover? This type of display should not be acceptable for such a high dollar unit. and
  15. Hi- 1) the antenna is mounted on the roof of the vehicle. the single indicator always reads a strong signal. the antenna was the very first thing that was replaced. 2) yes the vss is hooked up and the speed pules are reading a pretty high number 3) yes is does say 3d hybrid. the bar indicator graph shows maybe 5 bars lit up and these are less than the distance bars shown at the very top Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.
  16. Hi Guys- I've had my X920BT back to Pioneer 2 times for repair. The first time they said a "controller" was replaced and the second time the "board" was replaced. Even with these repairs I'm still fighting display accuracy problems. I can be driving down the road and pass a street physically, look down at the display and it shows me just approaching the street. This is driving me nuts! I've had several OEM nav systems and have never had this problem. Today, while driving I clicked on the 3D Calibration Status to see what my learning status is. The display shows over 400 miles s
  17. I sent my unit in for repairs for the nav accuracy problems and it came back the same way! They said they replaced a control module but I dont think they really fixed anything. Updated software should correct the problem. all of the factory navs I've ever owned have been spot on. I'll be contacting Pioneer to make my voice heard. Maybe if they get enough complaints they'll fix the problem.
  18. The xm just means that is the audio source I was listening to. It changes with what ever source. I'm actually using the factory xm radio antenna, so disconnecting it does nothing. The problem is the same with the vss bicker up or not. My suspicion is the sensor in the unit is bad. I may just yank it out on Monday and send it back to Pioneer. Wait a second - your screen says XM - so I take it your X920 is receiving signals from two sets of satellites for both GPS and XM. It would be interesting to disconnect the XM and see if the problem remained. Maybe there's a s
  19. I have the vss wire hooked up. It's using the units sensors and the vehicle speed sensor to determine location. When I unhook the vss, it goes to simple.
  20. Here are a few images from today. Is this what you guys see too? Is this normal? My vehicle physically at an intersection Here is the display of me at the intersection (See how far back it is) Here is my displayed location after turning and traveling down this road (It doesnt even show me on the road. I traveled down this whole road to the location you see here. I made a right turn onto the orange road. I was surprised to see the apex of the triangle at the intersection as it should be) Here is the calibration status screen (notice that the distance and 3D meters a
  21. You should be fine! My problem seems to be a one off. I haven't ran across anyone one else with this problem. If I could find this unit for less than $400, I would by it again! Good luck with yours. Tony geez - blocks off? What have I got myself into LOL - hopefully they fixed whatever's wrong in yours, but it sounds like its an inferior product and Pioneer doesn't want to admit it. I figure the blowout price I just got at Amazon (sub $400) has something to do with that
  22. Thanks for this information. I've done this atleast a dozen times. I do get a little more street names but when I change locations it never stays.
  23. Off about 1/2 block, sometimes it's blocks off. The vss is connected. The gps antenna is on the roof of the vehicle and reads exceptional reception. I can post pics of this stuff when I get home.
  24. Funtimeguy How did you adjust it? I love the unit, I just want to fix this problem. My position is always off and sometimes street names dOnt show at all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tony
