Crap, crap, crap. I know better! Anyway, I got impatient and got sick of waiting until I could go buy a new drive. I decided to take the plung and unlock the stock drive. I didn't need the data, so I went ahead and used the wizard. The unlock wizard seemed to work flawlessly. Everything was fine and it said it was successful after it was done. I downloaded the magicboot v.2 and tried to disable the security. I can't get it to "see" the drive! So, I boot all the way back up... still can't see the drive! So, I pop it in my USB adapter (Sh!ts and giggles) still no partitions, but

I usually catch it and reopen it though. Only 2 seeds? I see 0 Active seeds other than mine. But Azureus is sometimes not very accurate.

No doubt. Big Thanks all around. I don't know why I can't get my upload higher than 120kb. I have a 15 mb down and 2.5 mb up connection. I've set up my firewall and router correctly. Oh well. I have to back it down to 50kb up during the day. Simply makes my connection almost unusable at unlimited. It looks like most people are uploading around 6kb. If they would each bump it up to 15kb they would ALL practically double their downloads. It's called file SHARING for a reason. Still seeding. So, I have a question for those of you that have applied the image. With the voice commands... by chance can we use the voice commanbd as it should have been set up in the first place. Example <pressing green phone button> <Talking to Sheila(I had to name it because I find myself talking to it WAY too much)> "Call home" <Pressing Voice icon/button> Connected. I have the files that I download via ftp yesterday. They looked good in Acronis home 11, but I don't have my drinve in yet to test them in the unit. I'd be happy to seed them for you, but I don't know how to add them to your torrent without downloading it myself first. Any suggestions? I keep hearing about HD radios everytime I get in my truck. Sounds kinda cool, but I haven't had much time to look into it... long story on that. Anyway, has anyone heard anything about being able to add HD radio capabilities to the AVIC Z series? Gerry

I still have a question... I have mine mounted on my roof. I'm paranoid and would like to move it inside. I've been brainstorming locations for it, and I want to put it under my molding against the metal (not picky on any particular spot). I work on some GPS gear but it's ancient... my gear likes to be upright (vertical). If you turn it sideways (the antenna) it loses signal strength. Does the z1 Antenna like to be horizontal or has anyone noticed if it can be placed vertically on the inside of the molding against the metal doors or sidewalls as well?

Very similar to my Toyota background, only I used the VW logo. I really need to work on making some more blue backgrounds... they look the best on the screen.

Awesome, got the image disc to work. No problem. Has anyone been able to format the discs so that they are drag and drop like a hard rive? I tried 2 times, but it didn't work for me. N?o big deal really, but it would be easier to just add the new image rather than erase then reburn the new disc. OH! Is it just me or does it seem odd that this stereo has no Visualization while playing music? I just assumed it would. Unless it does and I just can't find the setting. Got off my butt and bought the discs. Everything is working fine now. I started making some random images with a couple different logos in it based off of the number of views I have been getting in my photo section. I found that I couldn't load them. I guess there's limits on the amount of storage members are allotted. No biggy. If you want one customized, just send me an email.

Thanks for the reply. Yea, I need to stop being lazy. I'll go get some CD-RWs. You know... I didn't think of calling the "Dummy Files" actual Dummy Files (in a folder). I just assumed that it needed to be a separate folder from the pictures folder. And here I am insulting the Writers of the AVIC Z1 Owners Manual. My apologies!

Well crap, got the truck/Z1 back and decided I needed to play. so, I burned my images I have been working on according to the very vague instructions in the manual and it didn't read the files. WTF. Ok, I realize there is a certain format it likes, and a certain minimum file structure and size. Has anyone worked out a step by step how to for making these discs yet? YEs, I searched for Image disc background images. I got lots of psts and some eluded to how to's... most by Dutatiboy.... If anyone has mastered this, please pm me. I have no interest in making coaster after coaster.

Ok, I found some logos. Again. I didn't make these... I just found them here and there. They are easy enough to slap on the backgrounds though... also, I've found a nice little blending tool that adds an intersting effect if you like the abstract thing.

Ok, I got ahold of some logos. Slapping them onto the backgrounds should be a snap. Now, would you mind looking at the file names in my gallery and telling me exactly which ones you want modded? Ducatiboy, I have a few more logos that you didn't have in that photoshop project that you had on your site. If you would like them, I can zip and send them for you. They're nothing really special... just some extra ones I noticed you didn't have is all.

I posted a couple more backgrounds in the gallery. I'll continue to add more as I find images I like so check back every now and then. Let me know what you think. Some images I can change the colors slightly on. Let me know if you'd like one a little custom for your color theme. My truck is dark on the inside, so I like the darker themes...
