  2. There is no screen calibration on the d1. i sent a d1 in a month ago for service for that exact issue. It cost 200 as the other post said. They replaced the screen and it back in business

  7. vss should be behind the radio if you have 2 plugs.... grey/black in big plug... and vss is not causing your problem
  8. while you are driving in this area.. go into your nav settings menu/ hardware selection/ and then check connection status/ How many satillites are you locked on. If its 3 or less then this why you are having trouble.
  9. your picking up interference from somewhere. either powerwires, rca's....and an eletronic field is being created..try taking bt unit out and putting up high away from everything and then test it.

  11. And not eveverybody does. Mine is also close to my unit and i have no issues either. But i have seen a few times where some phones it causes a problem if the module is too close. I have a nextel i605

  16. I swapped them out for my customers and returned them for new ones. Whoever you bought yours from should do the same.
  17. Its got nothing to do with the update. You need a new unit. Pioneer is aware of this and I have seen a few units do this prior to the update.
  18. I have seen this problem only once. I found that someone used a avic d2 rca pigtail on the z1 and it caused what you have described. Make sure you have the z1 pigtail and not a d2.
  19. You gotta get it at the ECM. Yellow/black.........The ECM (Engine Control Module) is on the driver side fender, behind the headlight.
  20. Its not a heat issue and pioneer is aware of this. You need to return your unit and get a new one. I have had 2 of these do this.
  21. The pin has come loose on the second wire that needs to be grounded. Sometimes you need to make sure it clicks when you do the hack.
  22. Just a note to all on the bypass. I had 10 customers with 1st gen z2's and updated all of them successfully I ending up using alcohol 120 to burn image and it woked great. Thanks to all. If anyone cannot get the image done properly or doesnt want to spend the money on an image burner. 10 bucks and i will do one for u and send you a copy.
