    Eco Graph

Ok, so I've been playing with this for a while in hopes of lighting up all the animals and the big tree . . . lol . . . but If the navigator doesn't know the speed limits for a particular street I'm on, how does it decide if I'm driving "economically", so to speak? If I'm going 65 on the highway, the speed limit, that's as eco as I can get. Yet, I believe the x920 feels this is too fast, and therefore not eco. does anyone know what makes the eco graph tick, as far as what it wants for ultimate eco driving? It's a silly option, but everyone who gets in my car thinks it's fun
  2. ok, thanks for the visual - i'll restart it once again and see if that clears things up
  3. thanks, it doesn't matter if i hit the arrow, album, artist or song button - once the song has started playing there is no way back to the album's songlist screen without starting over
  4. hehe - maybe when I updated the iPad to dreaded 4.2 it's caused a new problem - I can't get a text cursor in the reply boxes, and hence, no virtual keyboard appears. As far as the left arrow key and the album song list, so we all agree now that once you pick a song and start playing it, you're pretty much screwed to get back to that particular album's song list WITHOUT dancing through a few menus, correct? I just tried again in my car, and that screen only appears when you first pick the album from the album list. If I pick a song, it starts to play, and I hit the "album" icon on the scr
  5. the left arrow in THIS picture? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/PUSA/Images/AVIC-X920BT_red_large_ipod.jpg
  6. that's what mine does - it takes me to ALL songs, ALL albums, or ALL artists, filed alphabetically from 'A'
  7. post a picture of which back button you mean if you can, and what the screen looks like when you get there. Is it the same screen that I posted initially? What version of software are you running - 2.03?
  8. yes, but from any of those you still can't get back to the list of songs per album. and, I couldn't make any entries on this forum from an iPad. Any ideas why - is this a Flash based system?
  9. After you select a song it goes to the standard ipod music page, ie artist/song/album with album art off to the right and the scrolling list of songs above and below the album art icon. the back arrow at the bottom doesn't take me back to the album song listing.
  10. So, you have the page up that I pictured, then you select one of the songs from the list. After that point, I can't find a way to just "get back" to that song list without going thru the whole navigation menu system. That seems like an oversight in interface structure
  11. there's no button "on-screen" that gets me back there. Do you mean the physical plastic button to the left of the screen? Once you LEAVE the page in the picture, there's no way I've found back (with a single button or icon press)
  12. that's sad. Maybe the people you know close to the Pioneer software coding process could include a faster way to get to this screen in the new software update?
  13. When you first select an album while in iPod mode, a screen comes up displaying ALL the songs on said album. Once you pick a tune to start playing, I can't for the life of me find out how to get back to that screen again, save for the unbelievably cumbersome going back through the whole process again, aka "alphabetical/artist/album title/select album", which seems like poor interface navigation. Is that the only way back to this screen (seen in picture), or am I missing a simple button press I couldn't find in the manual?
  14. do you remember, or have the info for the one you bought off ebay? That's where I'm looking. Does this brand seem familiar? It's more of a novelty for me, since I haven't backed into anything in many years But if a car-was would trash it, that would be bad. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA-3-CCD-NTSC-Car-Rear-View-Backup-Camera-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3f03be851aQQitemZ270645757210QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories it's a CCD, and I wondered if that factor would improve its chance of longevity
  15. seriously good news if it actually pans out
  16. that's good news, but odd in that why would they bother to code for a hardware device that didn't use the coding? Are they actually trying to be sympathetic of x920 owners?
  17. is the rumor regarding the loss of VR still true, aka after updating you lose the ability to speak commands?
  18. It's likely the reason is multiple GPS antennas, or at least on that is driven by a $50,000 dollar purchase price? The Pioneer doesn't seem to be quite that lofty, hell, it's not as lofty as a $300 Garmin portable. It does do quite a lot for the price, but it seems the NAV is truly the achiles heel of the unit.
  19. You may be right - I'll check that as well, but I believe mine finished for straight lines, just not left and right turns
  20. If it's that far behind, either it's malfunctioning, hasn't come close to finishing the 3D Hybrid set-up phase, or you've somehow buggered the install. Try disconnecting the VSS and check the GPS screen, and just drive with it for a few days un-connected. Even with VSS not connected, mine was only around 20-40 feet shy of the target. 300 feet is WAY off. And the Garmin? If it's like my portable, it's only about 5-20 feet off, depending on what part of your car is the reference point.
  21. can't disagree with you on the fact that the legal community gains the most from large lawsuits, however, because of a class-action suit against Nvidia, I have had my laptop motherboard replaced, free of charge. If you do decide to avoid those that do it wrong, it sure doesn't hurt to tell them why you're leaving them behind. Alot of people have had Bluetooth problems with this unit - surprisingly, I haven't. But since the unit is advertised as a 'navigation' unit, then the navigator should be better.
  22. on the whole, for the price I paid, I like the product, which I've stated here more than most. However, when four independant systems (2001 Nissan - Garmin - 2010 Volkswagen and Android phone) all find the same, efficient route, then I feel that Pioneer needs to be made aware that their product needs work. And as far as finding places I "haven't" been, it makes me wonder if I can trust the Pioneer to do that. Since Tom Tom owns Tele-Atlas now, and Tom Tom mapping can also find the correct route to my house, then maybe we'll get lucky with a future update. Ya gotta voice your displeasure, c
  23. Amazingly, so did mine. Dated January 6 - arrived January 14. It did take two rather hostile phone calls, however. Make sure you mention the "8 weeks" thing.
  24. ah, OK. So the Pioneer actually connects to the reverse light, as opposed to connecting to the camera in any way?
