  1. Unfortunately no result. The only time the blue indicator light blinks is during startup to indicate there's an SD-card. While searching basically nothing happens while the unit searches for a very long time. I'll look into reversing the WinCE update, to see if that fixes it. Then I just need to find another way to disable the gyro-sensor. Thanks for thinking about possible solutions!
  2. Deleting the APL didn't work, so I will look into the WinCE mod that deletes the gyro function. I suspect this disables the bluetooth as well. TMC I still need to look into... I'll keep you posted on any solutions!
  3. Sorry, my mistake. It was the AvicNet topic: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/32763-english-avicnet-for-avic-f-series-working-obdii/page__view__findpost__p__239257 However I suspect this mod of disabling my bluetooth as well. Need to look into that.
  4. @Kleo: check Ryar's post for Primo (not AvicNet), in the 3rd post he explains the gyrosensor needs to be disabled. @Chuck: thanks for all the answers! After Ryar's fix for the F900 (disabling the gyro), I get a fix all the time, no issues there. However I still don't get TMC signals it seems. Where in Primo should I find this? Under traffic I just see 'historic traffic'. My bluetooth is also messed up now. It doesn't find any phone and my phones don't find the Pioneer. When I disable bluetooth the unit starts lagging, gives some fatal errors and reboots. Bluetooth is now disabled. When ena
  5. Installed the new mod with Primo yesterday. Great improvement! I was running Diaftia's mod first and this one seems smoother. My steering wheel buttons were lagging before, I reckon due to the high memory usage. They respond much better now! Downsides: - I don't really like the style of the menus, so I copied Diaftia's image.res. I like my music player clean, not shiny. No offence - Primo doesn't get a GPS fix. However it does see 10 satellites. I reckon it's the gyro sensor in my F900? Will try to adjust according to Ryars instructions - TMC isn't working. Is this just adjusting the s
  6. Hi there! I was trying to download these files as they aren't included in Chuck's mod. Could you upload them again? Thanks a lot for all the work you've done here!
  7. I am currently trying to download it here: http://forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?f=705&t=269853 But it keeps going down and back up again. If I got the full maps, I'll try to upload or seed somewhere.
  8. Cheers, I didn't mean to talk down on your mod either. Your work is of course much appreciated!
  9. Of course! It's a feature most Saabs have, called Night Panel or Black Panel on older models. It shuts down every light/function/button that is not vital for driving. Basically it only leaves the speedometer lit up. Very nice for nightly drives, except that the Pioneer head unit doesn't respond to it of course, leaving my interior lit. I can tap into a signal with different voltage within this state. If I could trigger the ScreenOff.exe with such a signal, I could black out the screen when I use the Night Panel function. Hope this makes sense. If not, here's a little paragraph on Wiki: htt
  10. Ah thought so. I can dim 95% of my dashboard lights with a single button, very nice for nightly drives. It's a Saab feature. Would be cool if it would dim the unit too. But as long as the backlight is off and the screen is black, I am happy. @Diaftia: is menu.ui the code for the quickmenu on the map in your mod?
  11. Thanks Chuck! I am currently running Diaftia's mod, I'm going to try and modify one of the buttons in the QuickMenu. Nice first mod to do on my own Would you happen to know if it's possible to use one of the external wires as input to run a script? For example the handbrake or reverse gear signal. I guess not, since that's in the Pioneer software and not in iGo?
  12. If I would use the ScreenOff.exe, how do I start the screen back up again? Is the ScreenOn script still needed?
  13. Cheers, that sounds simple enough, will give it a try. Only downside might be that the backlight is still on, but better than colours I suppose Is there any info available about the input this line gets when the car is in reverse? It's a certain voltage?
  14. Is it possible to adjust the coding in a way that an input signal could be used as a trigger for action? For example the brake line that triggers the ability to play video. Why would I want such a trigger? One might ask. I drive a Saab and they are fitted with a function called 'night panel', that dims everything on the dash except for the speedometer. This is very relaxing for the eyes during the night when there are no streetlights. Unfortunately the Avic unit is still quite bright. It would be great if I could turn the screen off (like the menu setting) when a certain input signal is gi
  15. I didn't renew my subscription on Usenet, so far I can find all I need in various other ways. I can't be bothered to download something now just to upload it there for you, hope you understand. I know these services aren't perfect, but you can get your file now right? Better a slow file, than no file. Agreed?
  16. http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4cgg8d/n/20101206_maps.rar This should work! Due to laziness, I put all the files in one big rar. So need to unrar twice. Good luck! All credits to Bento of course. (En de groeten uit Brabant jonguh!)
  17. I'm trying to upload the files somewhere. Least I can do to say thanks I leave it up to you to put it on Usenet. Uploading as we speak, so I'll post when done.
  18. Just installed it on my F900bt. Didn't work properly cause I forgot to add maps, but thanks to the great instructions on this site, it is fixed! So far it looks really good, cheers!
  19. Even for a noob like me, it was easy to do thanks to the clear instructions. My F900bt is up to date now, thanks!
