And that the dvd has the correct region code

Is the antenna mounted correctly ? I.e. top side up, no metal between the antenna and the sky, no metalised (heat resistant) windows ? Try mounting the antenna outside temporarily, as a test to see if it works then....

Avic-Z2 (starting pioneer navigation) Help!!!!
jwq replied to turbonaticsracing's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
I actually have no idea if it will start up without a GPS antenna connected ... Don't you have one to (temporarily) connect, to see if that solves the problem ? -
check ebay, for instance : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/80GB-hdd-map-upgrade-Pioneer-Avic-HD1BT-HD3-HD3-II-/160651236713?pt=UK_CE_GPS_Accessories_Software_ET&hash=item25678f5569 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PIONEER-AVIC-HD1BT-HD3-HD3BT-HD3-II-DRIVE-UPGRADE-80GB-TOSHIBA-HDD-/330621122558?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item4cfa8df7fe

Z3 Volume stuck on previous level, cannot adjust Up or Down
jwq replied to auzeus72's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Maybe something to do with the mute ? As an experiment, you could try disabeling the mute setting in the menu ? -
The difference between the Z1, Z2 and Z3 is only software/firmware, not hardware. So any Z1 or Z2 can be updated to a Z3, with latest maps etc. see also here: http://avic411.com/index.php?showtopic=12766

The fact that it says bluetooth connection successful on startup, just means it's detected and successfully connected to the bluetooth adapter, not the phone. The fact that there is an x over the bluetooth icon means it's not connected to a phone. Try manually connecting from the phone menu. Otherwise try re-paring your phone...

It's a setting.... (Auto ANTenna setting) You can set the external power output to activate only when the radio is selected (RADIO, which would be the setting you currently have), or set to POWER, which means it's activated whenever the contact is switched on (which is what you want) (see page 104 and 158 of the manual)

Pioneer used to have the AVG-VDP1, but that also only displayed performance related items, no engine guages (OBD) etc.... link AVG-VDP1 and link: description

Just turn down the ringtone volume on the Z1....

Z3 Volume stuck on previous level, cannot adjust Up or Down

The obvious one: try a reset.... -
It is not possible to put music on the hard disk directly (other then f.i. copying a whole partition from f.i. another Z ) The only way to get music on there is to let the Z rip the CD....

Pioneer colour Head-up display anounced for 2012 on European website..... headup display
-
otherwise perhaps via ebay ? ebay contact link
-
And of course you will miss all the European maps....
-
have a look here: SSD drive
-
That just indicates that the bluetooth unit (ND-BT1) has been found and is active...
-
If it's coming from the unit itsself, perhaps the fan ?
-
The US version also starts automatically, however, as you previously installed the Australian version, the unit probably assumes the update is already done, and so will not re-apply....
-
I know of a number of Dutch HD3 users, including myself, who have succesfully used the patch from the USA site. As the australian one is seemingly different, I would suggest NOT to use it on the European version(s)... I don't know if you can use the USA firmware after installing the australian version, I would suggest to just try it
-
I assume you used the official Pioneer version for the Z2 from here ? : freeze update I used that myself on my HD3 (now HD3-II) without any problems....
-
Can't be changed. Pioneer has/had the European model that solves that, i.e. tunes in 0.1 increments (and also has RDS and TMC ). It's called the HD3bt European HD3
-
European equivalents are F20bt and F30bt, which might be a better bet..... European units Don't know if there are any Malaysian maps available though..

Also reception of 2 satellites is not sufficient... You need a minimum of 3, preferably more to get a position fix....
