  1. I finally got it to work. only thing I think I might have been doing wrong, would be not waiting long enough for the computer to recognize it had a blank disk in it before I started the .exe file.
  2. I have had the same problem the microphone picks up everything in the cab of the vehicle, including them talking through the speakers I have turned my radio mute on full, and the volume of the caller down and havent had any complaints in a while
  3. Instead of sending you a disc, I can try to make it easy for you. Put a blank CD in your D drive and run THIS. It'll burn the update disc automatically. Once complete, put the disc in your Z2 and go to the map screen. (if your burner is not D, tell me the letter and I'll recompile) I cant figure out what I doing wrong. I download your .exe file to my desktop, insert a blank cd, and click on the .exe it says its "destination file" is my desktop and suddenly the .iso file shows up in my desktop Edit: I checked and my hard drive (desktop) is on C: my burner is d:
  4. so what do yall think?? I have the Z2, and I dunno which camera to get. I see a whole bunch of different ones on E-bay. what should I look for?? where should I mount it?? BTW, I have a ford F-350 truck, if that makes a difference for how to mount it.
  5. It should work. What program are you using to burn? Try using a standard CD-R. I've noticed these units are fickle as to the make of CD. Also, reconfirm your burn settings. I am using MagicIso I am starting to think its the cd-rw I tried to burn just some picture files onto it using windows, and it is giving me an error. its the only disk I could find round the house, the rest are in my desk at work. guess it will have to wait till tomorrow
  6. man am I frustrated I am following the instructions above to a T, but when I insert the disk into my Z2 it says "unreadable disk" I am using a CD-RW, could that be the problem?? when I put the cd-rw back into my cpu, the folder it opens shows to be blank........
  7. check your position/tilt mount setting in the unit. if the unit thinks its mounted at an angle to the road its on, when it is actually mounted straight on, it will throw off the GPS
  8. disconnect everything, reconnect it with the correct 2-wire bypass, and go to pioneers update website to download the new update for the Z2 and install it.
  9. I bought a cheap factory radio off e-bay, for my super duty, took the face off, glued the buttons back in it, and trimmed the edges to make it slide over the face of my Z2. Now when I park anywhere but my own garage, I slip that puppy over it, and from a window it looks like I dont even have a tape player
  10. My 755P paired perfectly with my Z2 on the first try, even pushed all my contacts on the first try.
  11. I wonder if they will block the bypass again with the new unit?
  12. sirius has terr repeaters as well that are received through their antennas. why wouldnt it pick up the xm terrestial just the same?
  13. I believe this is caused by the installer not properly hooking up your VSS wire. does your vehicle dynamics displays work?
  14. go here I used his steps as a guide in my 2000 and had no problems at all.
