Update should be on two SD cards, first card has map update and it will ask you to get password, second card should be software update and it should not ask you anything.As advice: Try to update map first, and after update have finished, go in to testmode (if you have't updated software it will have copy/paste option) and copy contains of NDATA forlder -it will have new map on it. Than you will have chance to put new map in to other unit using testmode. Make backup of second unit's NDATA folder before making any changes. Only then update software and you will have X940BT with limited testmode

First: gmapsupp.img is image file, so you need software to wright it on your drive. That software will delete everything from your card and put all files and folders where they should be. Alternatively you can open this image file as archive and then copy all contain of it to MicroSD- Sometimes it works. Second: you need MicroSD and I believe it should be no more than 4gb. Third: where did you get this file? do they have instructions of how to install it? Does it suppose to work for X940BT?

I hope there is a helpfull information: Oficial navi.exe reads data from system library using function GpsGetPos and have no idea about NMEA or COMpots. So... to have working IGO (or something else) we need software that reads it same way, convert data and output it to virtual com port, or teach IGO to read from same library. How it was in F900? format of PRG files: offset 0 length 32 bit - platform signature 0xA55A5AA5 offset 4 length 32 bit - length of the file without header offset 8 length 32 bit - CRC32 crc from 0x200 till the end of the file offset 0xC length 8 bit - unknow

One guy in Russia did this (I think his nickname here is Ktoto). He've decompiled Testmode.exe and fixed it. But... it is part of EU090PLT.PRG file, so we need to reassemble it back to EU090PLT.PRG file. Other guy made modified firmware (EU090PLT.PRG) but it heven't been tested yet. I can pm you a link to it but I gess it is too dangerous to put it here. Where did you get ALL modules from F40BT? or you talking about that update archive? That is a good news! That's right. Testmode is part of windows and sits inside EU090PLT.PRG. And if we start testmode it runs before anything from AP

Glad to see you again! Can you delete PRG.FLG file from your limited testmode? it will make PRG0 active and you will have working testmode (and software from F30) again. I assume that you have updated your device (and got PRG.FLG file he-he...) Which features are not working on your 'semi-working' f40bt firmware?

If your testmode allows you to replace files- yes. as far as I konw new X940's testmode- does not support copy/past features. If by some wild chance your unit is not locked, make backup first! (and share it! please!)

Thank you for your effort. NDATA forlder looks like it have same structure as X930 ones. Inside NDATA folder is 3 objects: partcode.txt (inside the file text "CWW3225-") release.txt (inside text: "PLU1-3-A") and another \ndata folder with lots of folders. BTW are you sure you have 01 folder? My unit has there: 00, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 0A, 0B, 0C, 0D, 0E, 0F, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49,4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, (with map) and AV,

Here it isYou need "files visible from testmode" (I hope that key file is there) and Ndata (part1 and part2) from that page. Please chek files especially PRG0/ folder. I hope it should be something like ***.FLG file with zero length. For instance mode.flg or test.flg But do not delete anything yet! They (pioneer service) should have back door! %)) Also it is possible that testmode can be started different way to get proper working one. so we need someone who will check file by file all software inside.

As far as I know- you can put European map on Z130. But search function will not work. So... it is up to you to decide.

I had same issue with my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I've solved it this way: 1. Make sure that your new phone has different name to already registered phones (usually people like to use same name for new phones) 2. Check what password you have for Bluetooth on HU 3. Turn bluetooth on the phone to discoverable state. 4. On HU select Settings>Bluetooth settings>Register> than wait till it apears on the list of your HU- it can take a while... couple of minutes or so. 5. Select your phone on the HU screen. 6. Follow instructions in your mobile to enter password. So this worked for m
