If you got bad quality signal and your AVIC shows you WRONG frequency for FM stations I would suggest you to exclude this frequency shifter. It is only necessary if you use japan market radio tuner here in Australia.

Dude's name is Ciroalbano (AKA suci). He claims he managed successfully run map from F220 on his European F920. I folowed his lead and got partial success of putting Australian map from F310BT on my US X930BT. Map is working but it turns red when i scale closer then 500m. and search is not working.

I have same problem with search. Do you have red map problem when you close up to 500 meters? If not, can you please tell me what folders did you replaced?

Map from U220 should work... may be... in my case map from F310BT just partly working. I can't choose city, so search is not working. BTW, do you have F310BT/F320BT there in Brazil?

Yes, you need Brazilian map. It works somehow. %)) I replaced US map with Australian from F310BT, but it is 100% compatible. Most likelly you need map from Brazilian F20BT/F30BT. When you will have map, make backup from your unit first, save it somwhere safe and start to play with folders on HU, replace "numbered" folders like 00 ... 0A (hex) and FE folders and try to reboot your unit. then you will see, if it works. And... 150USD... if someone ask me to pay 150USD for fully working Australian map on my X930BT -I'll go for it.

Thank you for your kind offer. But your F900 should use IGO as navigation software, so map files will be completely different. Good thing for you - you can mode your HU to run latest IGO 8.3 and update maps for free %))

Please continue to look around. I believe we will have map working especially if we will get update map files from official update for F20/F30/F930. So I think we need used official update SD to play with. I believe we can go through ShortFuse hack to update software and maps+ region change.

I need complete file image from Australian F20, F30, F920, F930 to make fully working GPS for all of Australian users. I mean it would be free update for Australian devices and work around for non Australian HU that people have here. Thanks to my local italian friend I got Australian map from F310BT. I put maps on my US- X930BT and what is a MIRACLE!!! It works!!! If you go same road - keep your BT (bluetooth?), BG, SKY (or it would be no sky in 3D view), INIDATA, Sound, TTSdata folders. But: 1. Map turns red when scale close then 500m. Hi Fengtianrui, One guy from Brazil managed to put Brazilian map from Brazilian F220 to his European F920BT. I think it is a way for us. we need to find australian either F220 or F20/F30 unit and copy maps from it. I am looking for such units now, but they are really expencive to buy. I heard that F700 is slow in menu compare to x920. What is more importatnt for me F700 uses IGO for navigation and it is already hacked so you can use any country map or free map updates. X920 uses homebrew pioneer navigation... and it is sux... no other countries maps no free updates.

Do you have backup from your unit? Can you share firmware from your unit? We try to hack this familly of units here so I think it can help us.

First of all what region unit you have? I have some ideas about how to do it. Do you have Australian map on it?

ciroalbano has mentioned before (page 28 here) that he managed to run F220 map on F920... and F220 completely hacked now, is it worth to check their hack because they had same issues with GPS port and they solved it somehow. if you need hack for F220 I can post it here or send it to you. here it is + thay said: driver in F220 gets signal from GPS and turn it to 5 virtual com ports.

It seems like it has US map update. so if you have non-US model it is not for you.

Lucky you guys...F220 Hacked. So U220 should be hacked as well. you can run IGO8.3 if you want. Seach for "testmode by charlie", or ask me, I will post this hack here. But... You mention that you have Australian maps for Pioneer units... can you share this DVD? May be it will be temporal solution for some of us who have US models before we can run IGO.
