  1. Awesome, so it's in the radio harness. I'm not sure how you do it, but you always do, and I gotta say I love you for it. (No gay pun intended) Seriously, thanks. James
  2. Hey Guys, Installing a D3 into a 2005 Ford Explorer with no amp/upgraded speakers, and standard cd player. I tried to find the VSS wire, but no such luck so far. Anyone know where the VSS wire is? I'm not going to bother with the reverse camera, that I have, so if anyone wants it, PM me. Thanks for the help.
  3. Seems like a good price.... http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVIC-D3-N ... 914&sr=8-1
  4. Hi, I'm installing my D2 into 2008 Altima 2.5S, stock stereo, no bose, no navi. I am trying to find a ground wire that I can use. Is there one in the OEM radio harness? I know I should mount to chassis, but would rather use an existing wire, which is what I did in my 2005 Altima. Please help, as my sunlight will be setting soon, and I've yet to find a good ground wire. Thanks guys!!!
  5. Knight20, Thanks. I did read your post from Nissan Enth. and it does look complicated. My 2005 had the VSS right in the factory harness, which made it so easy, but I'm going to try it without it first, and see if there is a big difference. I'm hoping the satellite signal will be strong enough to work well, not needing the VSS. What install kit did you buy? I bought one from crutchfield, good for 2007 and up models. Was it a hard install? The 2005 was fairly simple, so am hoping this will be just as easy. Thanks again.
  6. Like behind the actual cluster, where the tach and speedometer are? Is that a hard place to get to. Also, I get good satelitte reception, so is the VSS really that necessary, or will I still have good nav. without hooking up the VSS? Thanks man.
  7. Hey Guys, Back installing D2 into new 2008 Altima. I have non-Bose without Navigation. I have read that it is no where in the wire harness, which sucks, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, depending on where else it is, what color is it, and what is the best way to get to it. Thanks again, you guys are always amazing at helping. I just got the new 70 Disc, and I've been reading that people are having trouble after installing them in a bypassed D2. Is this true??
  8. Why did you call this a "handbreak" issue??
  9. I have a D2. The knob in the bottom left corner, the one that should spin but doesn't, push that in and it will bring up 3 options. Push the XM option, or the middle option, and then the memo option, and then which ever saved song you want to delete, highlight it, and then delete it. You can also delete them all, if you want to start over.
  10. I have seen that as well, and usually next to state parks, at least here in NC. Since it says "Hall Park," I think it's safe to say it may be a marker for parks, monuments, etc. Not exactly sure however.
  11. Do you mean the VSS wire? On my 2005 Altima, it was a pink wire from the Altima harness. Look to see if one is there, if it is, that should be the VSS.
  12. I think he's hoping you'll be his friend and get him a copy.
  13. Cool. I'll order. I'll let you know how install goes, especially if I have any questions. Many thanks.
  14. Cool, thx again for all the help. Lastly, I have a Cingular LG CG300, rather cheap phone, any ideas if it will work. It has Bluetooth, duh. lol. http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/lg/cg300.html
  15. Cool. The best I've seen is....they're all brand new btw: Amazon: $164.43 Ebay: $169.99 Buy it Now -tons more on Ebay for same price Crutchfield: $249.99 So either Amazon or Ebay. Any other suggestions?
  16. Not sure...this is what I used from Crutchfield. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vmdRAJDKtd ... =120707550
  17. I'm sorry to ask, but is that a yes there is another harness. Sry. If so, any idea where to pick one up...Best Buy, Circuit City....online somewhere? Do you possibly know where to find it? That is if the answer was yes. Thanks again bud.
  18. Hey guys, but mostly Misfit because you've installed a few of these... I just talked with Crutchfield, and they said that there isn't a harness that I need to get to hook the Parrot 3200 to my D2. I've read some reviews where people said they did buy extra harness'. Is this true, or can I just use what I have so far. 2005 Nissan Altima Avic D2 Thanks!!!
  19. Thanks. So the mute function will actually work for both voice guidance and incoming/outgoing calls? Thanks again.
  20. Try re-reading the posts to see for what. Twas only a joke.
  21. For what.....don't make me hold this excitement in that long!!!!!
  22. Wow, I was just going to type in Ebay before I checked, but these remotes seem to be no where online. Looks like Pioneer may be your best bet. Again, wow to it not being on Ebay.
  23. I have a D2 and a Cingular CG300 BT phone. I have read good reviews on the Parrot 3200, and since the D2 doesn't work so well with the Pioneer BT, I'm thinking about the 3200. Has anyone used or seen one operate? Also, I've read that since the navi voice guidance will mute the sound when the lady talks, that the 3200 will not be able to hook into the mute wire. My mute wire is not being used on my harness, so can I just hook into that wire and have both mute functions work properly?? I also saw that you have to buy seperate harness' for the Parrot, so will these new harness' t
  24. Good review and sounds like a very nice install. I'd really like to see some pics of all this, as you sound like you were busy for quite a while. Glad it's all working fine for you.
