  1. FX3.1 Complete Firmware Image

My original link is back to working: http://www.1radpc.com/private/FX3.1.rar Sorry, I've been absent. Download away! Waaay faster than the torrent!
  2. Upgrading NEX4000 to NEX4100 - Work in Progress

    Subscribed, this sounds interesting
  3. I'm a current owner of an AVIC F900BT and I'm planning on upgrading to the NEX-4100. I currently have a backup camera, Sirius, GPS, and microphone all routed through my car somehow, along with the Peripheral box to keep my steering wheel controls. What can I keep in place and re-use in the NEX4100, if anything?

I'm back, if anyone needs anything updated here.
  5. New A2DP workaround?

After testing different solutions over the past 3 years, I recommend the BlueAnt Ribbon... it plugs into the front of the unit in the 3.5mm jack by default, but if you have a 3.5mm-to-RCA cable, you can plug it into the auxilary line-in in the back and rout the cable into your center console... they are $38 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/BlueAnt-Ribbon-Bluetooth-Streamer--Headset/dp/B009F4XM48/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428406019&sr=8-1&keywords=blueant+ribbon You will want to plug in the charging cable into the USB port... if you have an ipod already plugged into it, then you'll need to find another way to keep it charged.
  6. Weird Whistle Sound

Try upgrading the big 3 instead of re-routing your aftermarket system cables.
  7. THE pico fuse in my F900BT blew and I completed the circuit using a 1A Glass fuse. That fuse then blew, so I just completed the circuit unfused. Shortly thereafter, the sound started fading in and out (for my fronts and rears). Then eventually, the sound just cut out all together from my 4-Channel amp. The Subs still hit normally. Is this an issue with my 4-ch amp, or the headunit? I'm beginning to suspect my 4-Ch amp dying was the cause of the pico fuse and glass fuses blowing. I'd like to get this fixed before my road trip in two weeks. Any suggestions?
  8. Weird Whistle Sound

That sounds like alternator whine. Make sure your head unit is grounded properly to the chassis (rather than the default radio ground, as this usually isn't enough for pioneer units). Also make sure you sanded the paint off the area where you grounded your amplifier. Are you using the amp to power your fronts/rears or subs?
  9. My pico fuse blew 3 weeks after getting my unit in. I completed the circuit using an in-line glass fuse holder that I soldered to the points and secured the holder outside. I loaded it with a 1A slow-blow glass fuse. This fuse blew about 3 days after it was installed. I then completed the circuit using a spring in place of a glass fuse. Screw these pico fuses. Anybody else had this problem? I know mine's probably related to poor grounding of my 2 amplifiers, but c'mon! These fuses shouldn't even be implimented!

Bump, added a link to the parking brake bypass instructional thread (original), and the updated one with pictures.

Bump, added links with better HOW-TO's for bypassing blown Pico fuses (the fuse on my F900BT decided to go out today... will be soldering it back tomorrow, it's currently in pieces awaiting my magic touch).

Bump, added custom background Q/A... if anyone can give me the 1:1 dimensions for the other units, I'll add them to the list. Thanks.
  13. ipod control question

When selecting a song from my ipod, it plays, but if say I've gone through: Artist -> All -> Song Title ... can i go back a step to "all" or do I have to start over again?
  14. FX3.1 Complete Firmware Image

If someone can find me the EU maps through either torrent or other source, I'll be more than happy to host them through my webhost...
  15. Just picked up a used Z2 for my '06 TrailBlazer

must be nice... takes about 30 minutes to take apart my dash to a workable state... I'll do it today so I can slide in the plastic double-din brackets I got for my dash kit... ugh...
