Was on the fence deciding where to buy my next AVIC Z3. I sent Pioneer an email inquiring if NEWEGG was an authorized Pioneer Dealers since NEWEGG has the best deal out there. Pioneer emailed back saying " They are not an authorized retailer for Pioneer. The product from them will not have a warranty with Pioneer." So,, Not buying from NEWEGG, thought i would throw that warning out to some of you potintial buyers.

Anyone been sucessfull installing a Z2 or Z3 in a 2008 Honda Accord? What did you do.. How, this one is going to be a hard install.

Does the Z3 bypass the same as the Z2? Also i notice that Crutchfield is selling a Z2X model. What is this model about?

Any thought in keeping the stock unit as-is and install you DIN unit in the console stoarge box in front of your shift lever? I have a 2008 and decided thats what im going to do. Plenty of room there. You will have to build a face plate but this would be easy enough... what is your thought on this?

Throw your Treo 755P in the trash. You'll soon find a host of 'everything' that does not pair with it.

Didnt have time to play so dont know if contacts would merge in. This is strange, i wonder if they are using different firmware than the current Z2 update or version? The BT modules are the same, so it must be firmware

I was at a car stereo shop over the weekend and they had a Z3 on display. Knowing my Palm Treo 755P will not pair up with my Z2 thought i would give the display model Z3 a try. BINGO, It paired. I coulld not believe it, why the heck cant they fix the Z2 paring issues? Now im tempeted to sell (give away) my Z2 and get the Z3. Other then this, i couldnt tell any other diference. Currious though, will the Z3 bypass?

I just noticed the Eclipse 5495, the direct competor to the Z1's and Z12's, is no longer available. Anyone know what happened to that unit?? Pioneer should incorprate their auido processors into the Z2's,, What a unit that would be.... That makes Pioneer the only unit with hard drive - Right?

What is the deal with Bluetooth? Why isn't three an industry standard for Bluetooth, like USB? Everybody blames the other guy for pairing issues and problems. For examble, i cant pair my Palm Treo 755 to my Z2. Palm says there is an incompatability problems caused by Pioneer and they are trying to get Pioneer to correct the problem. Pioneer says there is an incompatability problem with Palm Treo and says they are trying to get Palm to correct the problem. Now thats one hell of answer,, aint it... I'll tell you what,, I vote for a Bluetooth industry standard. Lets get eveyone in the loop and do

the rev upgrade for Palm 755P Sprint does nothing to pair with Pioneer. I tried and it messed up my pairing with my Harly Davidson Head unit. The upgrade is a mess, don't do it!!!

And---don't buy it if you plan on using a Palm with it.. They don't pair.

i just picked up a Beta Z3 that has built in Bluetooth, Nav ready with a removable 80GB Hard drive that docks with any USB computuer (even Mac) for easy musc downloading. Also has a 801.2G,H,I WIFI built in for music download off MuscMad and you can buy anohter attachement to let you Web browse using this neet little fold out keyboard that comes with the kit. A bunch of games are include too and this is wayyyy cooooollll You can also use your cell phones built in modem if it has to to connect to cell phone web and it even lets you do this through the Bluetooth... man this is hot!!!!OH... You will need to cut out a one inch wide slot out of the steel support brace (pipe) behind the radio fit. Very easy to do. Drill four 1/2 inch holes on left and right sides and top and bottom each side just a bit outside with of the Z2. Beg, burrow, steal or buy a mini air recouperating air saw and cut out the slot.. very easy with this saw..no more then 5 mins of cuting (for real). You will still have some support of the brace and radio fits real nice. good luck

Can anyone help me locate the VSS wire on a 2006 4Runner? I dont have factory NAV installed and was told that one of the wires in the OEM Radio Harnes has a VSS wire to tap into. I found the harnes but cant find any information, (without getting my plastic out) which wire is the VSS. Appreciate your help.
