  1. You realize the point of kickstarter.com right?
  2. This is actually pretty bad ass, with how shotty the AppRadio has been this might be worth it. I love the iPhone and its interface, why try to add some middle man interface. Devium - Dash
  3. so much work you guys did, I just used a switch and when i want to watch i just flip the switch. i guess if you watch stuff constantly having it automated makes it nice. I just don't watch video that much unless I'm sitting in my car waiting for someone else.
  4. you still have to initiate siri using the home button on the phone but the audio will work through the appradios bluetooth connection.
  5. Yes, the guides on that thread are for other radios than the appradio so the instructions for button presses and methods don't apply to our radios. What steps did you do to get it to work on your appradio?
  6. I agree, thats what I am using in my car and it was plug n play, auto programs the controls, its awesome.
  7. StreamS HD Radio sent out a bomb update today. The app is now recognizing touches to the AppRadio screen, and they switched the video output method to match the rest of the apps. They have an "Apps" button that launches the AppRadio app but the AppRadio's physical home button also works to go back to the Apps screen. I wish Pioneer was a quick about updating the radio as the guys doing the StreamS app.
  8. Rdio takes you back as well, some of the apps added the function on the last update.
  9. After playing with it there are a few problems I discovered. The home button does not launch the AppRadio app like the recent update added for the other apps. Also it seems as if this app is using a different method for the video output than the other apps. The parking brake switch has to be applied for the video to display unlike the other apps. On my AppRadio screen as well it is not recognizing touches to the display, not sure if anyone else of having that issue.
  10. I am having the same issue. The mic I used when I had my parrot mki9200 was awesome, everything said they couldn't even tell I was in my car and it wasn't powered. It had dual heads, I doubt it fits the standard jack that the appradio has though. I would love to replace mine.
  11. I have had some decks previously that we're able to tell the iPhone to launch the voice control just like a Bluetooth headset does when you push the button to answer but has anyone found a way to do this with the AppRadio so we can use Siri hands free?
  12. Mine does this as well. and the app radio extension in cydia isn't changing the wallpaper for me. I looked in the files for the app radio extension on my phone and it did successfully show the image i tried to use as being there but the radio wouldn't display it.
  13. Yes, regardless of what the axxess box programs your steering to control, within the AppRadio's settings you can choose which button on the steering wheel controls a certain function of the radio. When you first press the steering wheel button in the AppRadio's menu, you can individually program each function or there is this little wizard that basically (and this is not word for word as to what you'll see on the screen) shows: "Press Your Steering Wheels Volume + Button", once you press it it accepts that button as the control and then it goes to the next one... "Press You Steering Wh
  14. I noticed that it did that for me until i switched the camera mode to just "normal" in the settings. try resetting your radio and choose that as an option. i was able to switch back and forth after that.
  15. I also used the axxess for my MINI is it was so automated I had the steering wheel controls working before I realized they were working haha. It is really nice because it programs itself. I like that you can program the controls from the steering wheel on the AppRadio as well.
  16. I can also say, Crutchfield can be "wrong" at times. Don;t think of their fit guide as the bible of car installation but if they don't support/recommend installation for your setup with a specific vehicle doesn't mean it won't work. They literally told me not to upgrade my radio in my MINI and that it was not recommended, but look...
