  1. you must still have your SD card inserted with the TESTMODE folder present (not renamed, etc).
  2. takaiguchi - you dont even need to download it. Pioneer will ship CNSD-130FM or CNSD-239FM straight to your door, just visit their website, fill out a form and send them some money.
  3. please check z-series for z130bt (us version) for hacks
  4. good job. i believe it comes with an sd card and a dvd... i think the dvd will copy pois to a 4gb sd card, but not really sure.. i would love it if you can tell me how it works... i dont think there is any video ipod/iphone playback on u310bt at all... just audio
  5. make a backup of your My Flash Disk first... 1. get latest 2011 NT or TA maps/pois that are compatible w/ IGO8.3 from your favourite source (e.g., gpsunderground). put these in the MAP, POI, etc folders of APL2/IGO/CONTENT 2. since unit will not accept these maps out of the box, apply patched files (at a minimum: ezrider [aka igo8]) for your fw version, 3.x or 4.x: http://avic411.com/i...4001000-update/ 3. .... 4. profit!
  6. i'm going to post a hybrid 4.0 update method i found soon as a separate FAQ..
  7. 1. there is a 1.003 update (along with bluetooth update) available on pioneers website also, you can look over in the hacks/mods forum if you are brave enough to update it to 2.x. (also relevant to #3) 2. customization can be done via mac, but really should be done by using Avic Feeds PC app to setup the SD card with the splash screen customizations (and any other customizations). 3. problem with POI/Maps is that stock is 2009 maps and "crippled" (outdated and missing categories) POIs. You want CNSD-239FM which updates firmware, application, and maps/pois. (You could do CNSD-130FM,
  8. look at x-series forum. you have EU version of x920bt.. not a bad unit - probably just needs update (CNSD-210FM)...
  9. are you sure that you have the right winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks in root of sdcard? tried different sdcard? tried reformattign sdcard fat instead of fat32? which option did you choose in uboot?
  10. I have the same. If you double-checked that you followed FX3.1: this worked fine for me on F900BT and F700BT - I only had one issue, due to copying files to SD card from mac... mac creates these extra files like .Filename, which caused "system starting up" message, preventing igo from starting... i had to delete the junk files from my content/lang folder in igo.. maybe your boot partition is hosed? try reading over this thread: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/22599-solved-the-formatmbr-sdmlc-and-mapdbinfo-error-0x0000/
  11. what model number unit do you have? there really isnt a difference in the software... just the maps/pois/voices/languages
  12. I'm scratching my head on this one bigzipote... try running it from SD card (look at the thread for instructions).. maybe one of the other F310BT guys can help you figure this out?
  13. flash - you probably want to at least update to latest 2.x firmware available from pioneer then you can re-apply hacked ezrider(igo), and then use whatever maps/pois that you want to...
  14. I'm not sure about this one... Maybe some other guys with F310BT can help you out? I'm not aware of anything special needing to be done for F310BT. How is your "My Flash Disk2" NDATA? I trust that it was not touched as part of the upgrade? Another try: delete the SYSTEM folder on My Flash Disk and see if it will start up... Also, you may want to try running app & maps from SD card from this post to see if it starts up ok: http://avic411.com/i...post__p__241453
  15. basket, i think one can use a jtag app like sjf2450 or similar to extract boot loader to examine.. bigzipote, in your My Flash Disk, you should have following files/folders: PRG0\APL\... PRG0\FONTS\... PRG0\EL090APL.HTM PRG0\EL090APL.VER SYSTEM\RENEWAL\VERINFO.DAT VOLUME.DAT
  16. replied to your pm... without bootloader code to examine, i dont know what options there might be for triggering recovery flashing (if it exists)... how are your jtag skills?
  17. ok. did you remove all other folders and files inside My Flash Disk before copying new files? Did you copy APL and FONTS folders and EL090APL.HTM and EL090APL.VER from CNSD-130FM folders to the new folder My Flash Disk/PRG0 ? Maybe you can give me a detailed list of what you did, step by step. Also, if possible, please show me a list of files folders on My Flash Disk...
  18. did you replace My Flash Disk\PRG0 with one from CNSD-130FM update? If so, please delete PRG1 on My Flash Disk (which is old version of app and will be trying to start - unless you have PRG.FLG in My Flash Disk\) - If you still had PRG1 folder, then you did NOT follow directions completely. also, check that My Flash Disk has VOLUME.DAT?
  19. do you have original apple or pioneer ipod cable, or aftermarket/ebay cable? If you have checekd your a/v harness and connections on the back, then it may be a loose wire inside of the ipod dock connector. I hear this is common on non- pioneer/apple cables...
  20. bigzipote: Probably it's trying to start up application but some file isnt in the right place. did you leave My Flash Disk content alone? Do you have two PRG folders (PRG0, PRG1) or just one PRG0? If you can boot to testmode, then you are ok - you can get it working again, its just a matter of putting the right files/folders in the right place...
  21. why not use the FX3.1 update, and then put latest maps on it...
  22. did you put winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks on the root of the sdcard? Testmode folder also needs to be on root of sdcard...
  23. yes, but you can try to put correct winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks on root of sdcard... it just doesnt seem to want to pick them up - unsure why... i cant really find the bootloader code for this unit... doesnt seem to use uboot like other avics.. I do suspect that there is some magic file or soemting you can put on sd card that will let it do flash recovery, but i dont know what it is... what is nand flash method? im only aware of the aplupdate utility to get it into flashing mode, and that requires you to be able to boot into testmode. testmode should boot even if My Flash disk is toaste
  24. sorry basket, there is no way to recover from that stage that im aware of... i have tried many things... only way i know of to get a unit in that state is to flash with wrong or corrupt firmware.... it doesnt ahve any uboot menu that i can find so you may be stuck in this mode...
  25. Nikigenov: you need to use NavGate feeds for EU (or Avic Feeds for US ) PC app available on pioneers website. This will provision AVIC-APPS folder on your sd card with apps. You can then add the custom apps to that folder... Basketthis, Can you boot into testmode?
