Check your messages for the 4000 image. I think you can use the service menu to change mode and unlock the SD card so you can use again. I have a GOLDENEGG mode change key, but the 4000 I believe doesn't use the newer GOLDENEGG but the A and N testmodekeys even with the latest firmware. I don't know which A or N variant would change the mode unlocking the SD. Some of the MUCH smarter people on here may chime in. I have an N key that I have labeled "NorFlash_MODECHANGE" that may be the one. It's a shame wasting SD card especially when the smaller 4 and 8 GB quality cards are scarce now. I know

There are two sellers on ebay for a 4200NEX SD card. Are either sellers on here and could I pay for an image?

It's been so long ago. I don't recall having issues with it. I fixed the HU and gave it to a friend. No complaints.

Well I got impatient and risked wasting an SD card (since I don't know how to unlock the card after using it in the HU) and I tried the 4000 img in a 4200 and it booted but with 4000 features only so no AA. ANYONE have a 4200 image to share? Thanks

I'm in need of a AVH-4200NEX image. I have a 4000 image, would that work since the 4000, 4100, 4200/4201 are esentially the same unit? If not, does anyone have a 4200 image to share? Thank you

I've dealt with other N series backups and the size on the east and west disks were about the same. Why is the East on these ISO's almost twice as big?

You guys are missing something here... If you use a blow dryer on HOT and patients, you can peel back the sticker without leaving the VOID behind and flip the switch or soldier the two points and lay the sticker back down as if nothing ever happened. I did it on my N2. Use a razor blade to get under the corner and a set of tweesers to SLOWLY peel back while giving the sticker tons of hot air.

I fought this one for a while. I flashed my firmware on my DVD burner to accept the -R DL discs I was using and it worked fantastic for 2 sets.

One of the cable that connects the DVD mech may have come loose or partially loose. If it is out all together it will say something like it can't use DVD mech.
