fe342185, I always cover the ipod dock with the ashtray cover, so you dont even know its there if you look through the windows when not in the car. It is the 2point5 spec.dock as mentioned by Scott. I NEVER leave my iphone or ipod. even when I forget it, if I remember, and its 3am, I still go get it. Especially in NYC, its like ppl walk around looking in cars to see what they can find. How did you set up the R/T button for the phone menu. I looked at the PAC website and I dont see them having a function for the phone menu. All I see are these: Volume +/-, Mute, Track +/-, Source, Preset +/- and Band. How does the phone menu get programed, cause I would like that. Did you get that Bezel from Rich? I have the same bezel, but adding those knobs was a nice idea... I have the 2point5 spec.dock for my iphone cradle, think it looks nice too. I will try to post some pics later. Wow... looks good!!! I just got mine installed this weekwnd too, on a 2004 X5 no DSP. But I can't do those things on my own, I'm too scared to start playing with my baby... haha. Anyway, I have 2 problems that I want to know if you can help me out with. One, when I blow the horn, the source playing changes. Do you know what can be causing that? Also, how do I program the pac? I got it installed in a place far from me so I rather do it myself if I can. Do I have to rewire it? I want to be able to change songs with the next/prev buttons on my steering wheel. I have the M Class and I got the adapter that they sell for it, its about $80, and the sound is better than it was before I installed the d3 and I didn't have to bypass the amp. I get great Bass from my subs now...

No, I know when it comes to movies you can compress audio and video files to fit into 4.3 GB but I dont know how that would work with the navigation discs since its data. Also, you know your drive can burn dual layer by looking at the logos in the front of the DVD burner and one of the logos should read "DUAL LAYER" or the letters "DL" or "DVD-R DL" or "DVD+R DL". But most probably if you don't know you have it, you probably don't have it.

People always trying to make a buck... well, I've gotten many things because of others good nature, so if you want it, maybe we can connect through aim or something and I can transfer the file. I made images of both discs to my hard drive as soon as I purchased my D3 in case some crazy thing like that happened. The images are set for Dual layer DVD's though, I think I remember the files being larger than 4.37GB. Send me an e-mail to elbello@optonline.net and I'll see when I can send it over.

I have the Cingular/AT&T PDA and it works great. I was even able to transfer all my contacts over. I get in the car and my phone is connected in around 30 seconds. I had some issues in the beginning, but after I got JEtware its been great. I think I did some registry tweaks, that might be what's stopping you guys. I have the same problem. I have to raise it to 40 (Max) when my daughter wants to watch DVD, then when I switch to ipod and forget to turn it down, my speakers scare the crap out of everyone in the car. Haven't tried the SLA, but hope that works.
