is anybody having issues with the switch on 2.5? i tried to use maps and motionx to type in an address for directions but it wouldnt allow me to type, the warning screen came up and i used my switch but only cancel showed up and nothing about accept. possibly just a one time issue, have no tried since

most people update their firmware

with the new firmware versions released by pioneer, the relay will not work, its nice to have that auto feature but id stick with a switch and firmware updates. the switch is real easy, just remove the clip at the end of the ebrake wire and connect it to pin 1 of the switch and then connect pin2 to ground, thats all you need to do!

I haven't looked around the settings yet but the new update pretty much put ads on the unit. I use pandora and after about 30 seconds of not touching it info about different apps you can use start showing up, like a screensaver but basically ads.

i belive that wont work if you install the firmware updates from pioneer, just looks like the relay method

ive yet to try it, installed them while at work i leave in a few hours to see whats all new and i can report back i use appradio extensions, ill see if everything functions the same, coming from 2.45

they arent broken, i just downloaded them and updated mine

had the same thing happen with mine, it would get stuck right after pioneer showed up and then the screen sort of "fanned" across and it would go no further. had to get it replaced after trying at least 50 times trying to get it to load by pushing reset, resecuring ground, and all that. seems to be a common problem with these

just got my stereo the other day, read this thread about using the switch and its working great. just used a 2 prong switch.

it doesnt list my playlist in the correct order, i havent really played around with it just used it on the way to work this morning but my songs in my playlists were alphabetical

youll probably have to just take the money back and take the loss, its not a complete loss that could happen if you dont return it while you can just my .02

hey ryan, just signed up after i saw your post to give a little insight. i purchased the sph-da01 around the middle of march, installed it right away and i had the issue where it would turn on and the splash screen would show but freeze on it at the last second of the "sunrise" type thing right after it said pioneer (hopefully you understand what that screen is). from what i read on a bunch of sites, seems there is a big number of these things that are somehow defective, some people on youtube claim up to a minute start time which is quite ridiculous. i contacted who i bought it from and h
