I did my upgrade while I was driving and had no problems. My D3 has the bypass installed and I never used my parking brake.

I just upgraded to 90MT and noticed that mine is lagging as well. It never did that before in the past 4 years. I noticed the lagging when I set my display to the closest zoom street view. I have mine setup in Kilometers so my closest zoom setting is 25 meters. At the 25 meter setting, there is about a 10 meter lag. I have physically passed the interesection but the GPS shows that I am just about to enter it. When I set my zoom to 50 meters, it is perfect and the positioning matches where I am on the street. I tried to reposition the GPS at the 25 meter setting but it didn't

I put it in my D3 and it took about 2 minutes for it to update and everything is running great. Video instructions were the best. Thanks for sharing.

After the update on my D3, I lost my intro splash jpg image but my address book was still intact.

I downloaded the West ISO file last night using the link provided and using Firefox. It was very easy. Did not need to uncompress, or use winrar. Just use firefox and you are set to go. It took 11 hours to download the 8+ GB. I then used the newest imageburn version and burned at 1x. Took 40 mins to burn and another 20 mins to verify. Update took about a minute. Just insert the DVD and it starts up the update screen automatically. It then reboots and you are set to go. Used on my D3 and everything appears to be working fine. No blank screen. Thanks Ryval for the info on the DVD's. I think I've seen them on sale before but even if they are half price, we would only save about $3. I think the majority of the cost is the Nav DVD and Canada Post. Regular mail would be $2 but I personally would rather have the 2 day service with tracking. It helps protect both the buyer and seller. Also we would probably Paypal the group buy organizer and Paypal charges a 2-3% fee so my initial calculations may need to be increased to cover the Paypal transaction fee.

I bought mine at www.compuplus.com It is $689 US right now. They shipped by Fedex. Shipping price was very fair. Fedex collected $50 for GST. It was duty free. Bought my Ipod cable at Futureshop for $40. Got my PAC-SWI steering wheel control off ebay for about $50. You still need to get the dash kit somewhere though.

Hi, there are 2 Apple Universal Docks. Model # MA045G for the 30GB/80GB 5.5 generation and the new universal dock that comes with the remote control. The new one is about doubled the cost of the older one. Does anyone know if the older model MA045G universal dock will work for the new 80GB/160GB Ipod Classics ? Thanks.

Did you re-format before you tried to tried to write data on it again ? I have had problems with Memorex and Fuji DVD+RW before.

I work in a 4 year old industrial park in the greater Vancouver region. I live in a 2 year old condo that is in a new area. Both my work and home are not on the current navigational dvd's. It shows that I am driving in a "white" off-road area for both. Perhaps where you are driving through, those areas are relatively new and are not on the current navigation DVD. You will have to wait along with the rest of us for the new DVD's to come out. Others in the forum say they come out every 2 years and it appears to be $250 US for the 2 dvd's.

What is the difference between Simply Hybrid and 3D Hybrid Mode ? Are there advantages on setting it on one or the other ? I have mine in Simple Hybrid mode and my Speed Pulse always reads 0. My parking brake says ON, and my Illumination is always OFF regardless if I turn my headlights on or off. I have it bypassed. Thanks.

I just got my D3 installed with SWI-PS in Mazda5. I was searching here to see if anyone else is experiencing delay problems that I have found. I used to just touch my steering wheel buttons and things would change, it was very sensitive. Now with the SWI-PS installed, I either have to press the button 2 times or hold it down longer before it responds. There is definitely a delay and it will take time to get used to but to have the steering control far outweighs the delay issue. I have the bypass and by pressing my mode button on the steering wheel, I can change my video to ipod, F

I ordered mine from Compuplus on Saturday, got an email Monday requesting me to add my work address to my credit card because I filled the shipping address with my work address. That's a big plus because many other sites don't give you the option to ship to work address. Everything cleared and they shipped out Wed and I received it Friday. Got it in 2 days to Canada....Fedex and Compuplus know their stuff since there were no delays in customs. Hi, does anyone know who carries the Double Din Dash Console plate for a 2007 Mazda 5 ? I checked Ebay and Metra's catalogue but they don't carry it for the Mazda 5. The only place I've found is www.thespeedline.com but they are in Taiwan and it is about $160 US. I bought the D3 but may not be able to install it yet and may have to wait for one of the manufacturers to come out with the plate. Thanks.
