  1. Yeah, luckily I hold on and other member quickly posted that we don't really need that. Unless future update "somehow" bring certain function to the USB port for iPhone 5.
  2. My bad on the HDMI part. If you read one of the reply. You could get 30pin support back by switching the input/output option (with new 8.30fw). That is provided you still have the stock 30pin pioneer cable connected. Here's how it goes: iPhone 5 mode Stock 30-pin Pioneer cable, USB provide power to Lighting USB (or you can leave this, using another USB charger to power the iphone5) HDMI to Apple Lighting to Digital AV adapter. This also mean you won't need the CD-IH202 USB part. 30pin mode Stock 30pin Pioneer cable. Not sure if you can leave a 30pin device connected (but not

If you would switch between iPhone5 and older 30-pin device, you should keep the stock 30-pin cable connected instead of the CD-1H202 female USB.
  4. Offtopic: You'll have to unplug the USB lead from the pioneer cable and connect to the ciggy port charger. But when you want to use the iphone with AppRadio youll have to plug the USB back. Or maybe you could have a USB split cable that have a switch.
  5. In my topic, someone reply that you could switch to 30pins support mode inside setting menu. It's not as strait forward, but at lease we could still get it. Not sure if another firmware update could bring the support back.
  6. I had asked the similar questions, you might wanna check: AR2 + iPhone5 in iPod mode

  8. Yeah. At lease still able to switch. Better than nothing.
  9. Ok thanks for the reply. The USB on the iPhone 5 lighting to HDMI setup are merely to provide power. So you can leave it unplugged or connect to another charger. While the iPod is what I'm trying to find out. Anyway thanks again.
  10. Hi, so you are saying that on FW8.30, the stock Pioneer 30-pin cable won't work with old device? Did you have an iPod to try? I just want to know if iPod mode will work with an iPod (30pin) in 8.30.any thanks.
  11. OK, another questions can this work? AR2 --> stock 30-pin + USB cable 30-pin to an iPod for iPod mode. I'll connect the male USB to a charger to keep the iPod charged. HDMI, USB & Bluetooth to iPhone 5 for all other mode (AppMode, Phone, etc).
  12. Hi, me too would like to know which is the right manual to get? NVM found the answer, both link will give you same zip file contain both PDF, apparently one of it is only a amendment notice to the main manual.
  13. Hi everyone, I hope those that have AR2 + iPhone 5 setup could shed some lights on this. I read some of you commented that iPhone 5 + Lighting Digital AV + USB & HDMI get everything works except iPod mode will be grayed out (not working)? And the CarMediaPlayer app is slow... But on pioneer page, it says iPod mode is supported with Lighting to 30-pin + stock AR2 cable? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/2013+Pioneer+and+Apple+Compatibility#lightning Just want to confirm this before making the jump. Ok, let's say the above answer is YES for all. Can someone confirm if we could use an
  14. Hi Dejan, you meant to unpack the firmware file? Mind to share how to do it? Would like to take a peek.

  17. Dang... missed that. Have you try using the stock cable (for iPhone 4/4S) to get the USB connection? So it will be: AppRadio2 propriety port -> AppRadio2 propriety iPod cable (CDP1472) -> Female USB -> Lighting USB ? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y23/wei803/usb_zpsff03c7d5.jpg
  18. Can't you use a USB extension? So it will be: AppRadio2 USB port -> USB male/female cable -> Whatever USB device
  19. I wonder the iPod button doesn't work is a bug... Hope to see more feedback from AppRadio2 + iPhone 5 owner.
  20. The CD-IH202 iPhone 5 connectivity cable is out. Previously stated "available in spring" and now it says "available now". Anyone bought it? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/iPod-and-iPhone-Cables/CD-IH202
