  1. Thanks for the reply. Yes sorry forgot to mentioned it's iOS. But the problem where the menu block most of the route map view still there, hope they will look into that. Sticking to v3.9.4 at the moment.
  2. It appears that Waze are listed as supported with v4.9 update on Pioneer website: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/AppRadio Can someone confirm it? I've been holding update to v4 cause the support was broken.
  3. Good to know, may I know which model of AppRadio being tested?
  4. Pfftt... can't even get their spec page right. WTF. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/AppRadio/AppRadio+4+(SPH-DA120) Look at the screen resolution...
  5. Just to share my encounter on the "Bluetooth connection failed" problem. My radio stop connecting to my phone (iPhone 5S iOS 7.1.2) just this morning. It will show 25% - 50% - 75% then failed. Numerous reset and clear Bluetooth Memory yield no result. Also tried "forget device" on iPhone and re-pair the radio, same. Without the bluetooth connection all I get is mirror display, no touch function. Lastly, I tried "Reset Network Settings" on iPhone and redo the radio setup again, and viola, it connected and everything works as usual. Those have similar problem do give it a try.
  6. Well, as expected, Pioneer might adopt it: Pioneer Working on Aftermarket CarPlay Compatibility
  7. While I do notice the screen did try to shrink every now and then. But it immediately goes back to fullscreen when that happen. So is like flicker for a second.
  8. Updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 7.1 and confirm the screen resized (smaller with black frame) never occur so far.
  9. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tpms/id542118415?mt=8 The long wait finally over. My TPMS system finally received an update that bring Pioneer Appradio support. Full screen with touch. Yeah!
  10. Hi All, Today I met a friend that couldn't wait till next week and installed the GM iOS7 on his iPhone 5, so I grab his phone and did some quick test on my AppRadio 2. Confirm that: - AppMode works with current AppStore AppRadio app. - Default app (photos, calendar, map) works. - Screen mirroring works. - Waze will only work in mirror mode, doesn't detect AppRadio mode. It was a rush so did not manage to test other app. Update: Updated my own iPhone 5 to 7.0.2 today and confirm Waze is working fine.
  11. They finally replied my email: Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. Firmware updates are typically still provided for our discontinued models, but we have no information at this time on future updates for AppRadio 2. Sincerely, Mark Customer Service Representative
  12. So long they still providing updates for DA100. Anyone have words about this?
  13. If you checked the gallery from engadget. The rear photos show an extra female USB lead.
  14. That's what I think. Any of you tried contacting Pioneer?
  15. Did your AppRadio app stay gray? For my case, killing the AppRadio app and restart it works. I find it is their app that's causing this. Launching other supported app (Like Waze) works too.
  16. Not the AppRadio app. But the iOS Settings. There should be, at lease for Photos and Calendar. Not so for Contacts.
  17. Makesure your thumbdrive is FAT (FAT16 works very well for my case). Makesure you only put one file at a time. Best you can format/ erase the drive first. Put in the .yuk file, update, then erase drive, put in .hat file. update. If one thumbdrive doesn't work, try another. If you using Mac OS, you will need windows. Do not unzip in Mac OS , somehow that doesn't work for me.
