I've been ssearching google forever trying to find a torrent or d/l for the newest US maps to no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I carefully read everything and there was so much confusion in every forum that the answer never was clearly answered. Thank you anyways. Does this mean that all we have to do is load the hacked ezrider.exe to the system, load the world map license and then load the newer maps? From what I'm seeing the maps that come with Pioneer's upgrade are from Oct 08, where the newer Navteq maps are Feb 2009? Am I right?

From what I am reading, now that ezrider.exe is hacked(again) we can use iGo 8.3 on the new 3.0 firmware? What is the advantage of using 8.3 over the iGo 8.0 that comes with Pioneer's stock 3.0 firmware? Is there a step by step guide somewhere to install iGo 8.3? After installing iGo 8.3 does the avic unit act just the same?(You hit the destination button and then enter your address?) Sorry about all the questions, but I think a lot of the answers to these questions will help a lot of noobs and semi-noobs(me) figure out how and why we are doing this. Thank you in advance!

I'm not the type of person to steal anything. I don't see why it would be illegal to sell software that you bought. I guess I'm wrong though. In that case, I will use my SD cards to modify the data file. =) Or is that illegal too?

So is the password not the same every time you put in the device & access # on the website? Seems like as long as you sold all three codes along with the sd card you would be ok......or am I missing something?

If I connect only the positive and ground wire do I have to hook up the brain also. I only want to make sure the new flex cable works. Thanks in advance for any help.

To what? Are you saying just pull out the harness behind my radio and tap into the red and black wires? If so, that's what i'm trying not to have to do. Can I connect it to an old cell charger that is 12v with the red and ground wires?

I ordered my copy and noticed when ordering it that there is a small message that stated the update won't ship until August. I think it will be a while before any of us get the actual update.

I need to know if there is a way to just power up and down an N1 head unit to make sure that the screen goes in and out without having to wire the whole thing into the car radio wiring harness. Anyone have any suggestions?

It worked for me, thanks! I tried just erasing the setup folder contents and the igo saved folder contents to no avail. Then I tried just replacing the ezrider.exe to no avail. Then I did both and did a reset and it worked perfectly. Thanks again.

And dvd player. the 700 only has cd player. the 900bt is the same but only has 1 year warranty...from what I understand.

You aren't reading this topic all the way through, that's what you are doing wrong.

That's what I did to my friends N1, then I found out the new firmware requires soldering to get the dvd to play while driving! Yeah, that was necessary a couple of updates ago. I think the CNDV-60 disks required that(maybe 50). I soldered mine a while back. It's not too hard as long as you have a good(small) solder tip. The hardest part is doing all the research before hand so that you don't make a mistake of soldering something incorrectly. Also, I've only watched a DVD one time while driving since I soldered it 2 years ago...lol.

Same Here, I downloaded the West.iso with FIREFOX (Internet Explorer does not work for some reason) and burned it with ALCOHOL 120% with the recording settings set to Book as DVD-ROM. I burned it at maximum speed and had no problems. I stuck it in my N1 and it updated right away. Thanks to everyone for their posts on here with advice and thanks to jlong for hosting.

I just dowloaded firefox and decided to try it out and it sees the file as the correct size where Internet Explorer does not. I don't know what's going on there but hope the West.iso file works as others have said it does. I'm sick of making coasters...lol

Jlong, Does your server have the "actual 80MT" West disk that will update all series yet? I noticed you said you were posting it last night but didn't notice a change in anything on the server. Thanks for hosting!

I must be doing something wrong.....I burned it again with Alcohol 120% and it still gives me the "Please Insert Appropriate Disk" error. Has anyone had success burning the West disk and having it update the N1? I'm using a Verbatum DL+R medium. I've tried it on slow speeds and fast speeds. This is getting to be a waste of disks.

I did the same thing and would like to know the answer to this question. Mine was on an N1. I finalized the DVD and it said "Please Insert App. Disk".

When you burn with Magic ISO are you supposed to populate the "Finalize CD" tab? What about the "Mode 1 or Mode 2/XA" tab? I just burnt the West DVD and it says it was not the appropriate disk....?

Yes (As long as DVD Decrypter burns ISO Images)
