  1. i found out the hard way, too. The Nav's great in NJ...
  2. Queens is probably one of the most confusing street layouts i've ever seen. If you're on Northern, you have plenty of options. if you're way down the east side of it, just hop on the 59th st bridge. If it's giving you the cross island as an option, i'm assuming you were closer to LI. In that case then cross island to the throgs-neck/cross bronx will take you right to the bridge (highway only)...but that's if you're way out there...
  3. I don't think any Navi will give you the best route out of the city. Driving in the city is an organic thing. You have to accomodate for time of day (you can't turn off of some cross-town lanes), construction, etc. I garuntee half the stuff isn't reported to the news or xm so they wouldn't show up on the Nav. The real question is from where in queens are you leaving from. there are plenty of ways back. Personally, i take the williamsburg bridge and cut down broome and i'm right in the holland. However, if it's prime time 8-10am or 4-7pm, then I'll jump on the 59th street bridge and
  4. Thanks for the corolla screen!
  5. I have a D3 with iPOD capabilities. When I switch to iPOD video, I get a blank screen and have to select the movies from the iPOD and not the D3. Am I doing something wrong? Should I be seeing a playlist of my video?
  6. OE- can you do one for the Corolla? thanks in advance.
  7. That all sounds right but I would use crimped connectors instead of tape. It's cleaner, they're cheap and the tape, from the heat may come undone.
  8. Try Amazon, believe it or not. I got one from one of their preferred vendors in no time.
  9. Misfit just came out and installed my D3. If you're in NJ, definitely reach out to him for installs. I'm a guy who usually does everything himself, like most of you here, I'm sure. I was a little hesitant because of the VSS tap and the BT unit so I was going to use 'Professional' install services. I had a $100 Best Buy cert that would have made my install $50. After researching the forum, I went with misfit instead and am more that pleased. You'd be a fool not to use him for any of his installation services. 5 stars -Neat/Clean -No problem getting around the vehicl
