Yes. Just start playing your music and then go into the Nav app of your choice. The Voice guidance will slightly mute the music when it tells you to turn.

THird party apps that support display out will scale the full screen. And you can control the stream quality.

I use a YouTube app called MxTube. It supports display out so itll work on the appradio. if you have the 5 or 5s you need the lightning to hdmi adapter and an hdmi cable. if youre on the 4s or 4 itll work with the 30pin. the way i get it to work is to click on Apps on the radio and when it prompts to open the app on the phone ignore it so you have a blank screen. then just open up the MxTube and play the vid. it should display to scale on the the radio with no issue good luck

I totally agree with you but unfortunately pioneer isn't doing quarterly updates...and If you look at larger companies like Apple, they offer updates, but once a new model comes out the older models do not get all the same features. I hope they issue and update for AR2 but its likely we wont see it for a while due to the fact that no one is selling the spy-da110 which is primarily the ar2 with the update. What I predict will happen is that they'll roll out the sph-da110 and after a few months/once the sales slow down Pioneer will finally issue the update that we've been waiting for. But n

I hear ya. I had the AR3 for a week (returned due to hardware issues) and the software update was def nice. a few little tweaks like the clock showing up when you hit the volume up was nice. The overall software is snappier too. No lag at all. I hope they release one too but they may not because the sph-da110 is pretty much the appradio 2 with new software, and from a business stand point it doesnt make sense to release an update for an older model when they are trying to sell "new" hardware for more money. At the end of the day its all about revenue.

From what I read, the 8.30 update (any version of appradio) for Europe doesn't have Pandora. The USA version does...You probably installed the American version. I also read that you can overwrite the US version with the European version but you can't go back untill Pioneer offers another newer update.

It shows the greyed out button for 2 seconds then allows you to hit it and enter app mode. You dont have to exit appmode and re enter it.

The bypass does work. I had the old wiring from my AR2 in my truck when I installed the AR3. No issues what so ever so anyone upgrading just use your existing wiring.

Theres an article somewhere describing that if your reverse camera screen has these brackets "[ ]" then it a certain software. Cant remember which one it is though. I've looked for 10 mins and cant find it

Just curious and off topic, but where did you get the AP3? its currently not available in the USA
