  1. A lightining to 30-pin adapter should work. http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD823AM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter or http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD824AM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter-02-m I would not recommend getting the first one since it won't fit with a case.
  2. It does but you have to turn on "show cloud media". While running it from the phone, swipe to the right and the settings menu will appear.
  3. While it's playing pandora in iPod mode can you pick an iPod song from the head unit?
  4. They get mixed at equal volume so yes, it may be a bit difficult to hear depending on the volume of the radio station. I'm not sure if there's a way to adjust the volume of both independently.
  5. Is your phone paired via bluetooth? What happens when you hit the App Mode button?
  6. I have the AR2 and the FM reception is poor compared to my stock head unit.
  7. I have an AppRadio 2 but I assume the 3 works the same way. If you are listening to a radio station when you turn the car off, once you turn the car back on it turns that same station back on automatically. If you want to change stations you'll have to press the radio button on the main menu. In App Mode you can listen to Waze and the radio at the same time by turning on MIX mode. The MIX mode setting doesn't get saved on the AppRadio 2, not sure about the 3. In any case, on the three it only takes two button presses to turn it on.
  8. Very cool Dejan, thanks for sharing. If you plan to stay on a single app for the duration of your trip, this is nice since you can put the phone in sleep mode. The main issue with this I see is that if you ever hit the home button on the radio and select the app button again it will attempt to launch the appradio app and your radio will have a black screen until you manually unlock your phone and then launch appradio on the phone again. What would make this really interesting is if AppRadio Extensions could integrate this background functionality and allow you to launch apps while the phone
  9. I paid for the TuneIn Radio add-on and it didn't work reliably. They removed it from EC Touch and said that anybody who bought TuneIn would get all the add-ons for free. I would try Spotify but I can't figure out how to get the add-ons..
  10. Yeah, there's the usual slightly shrunken appradio video output but it also has extra black space on the left and right side. I have to press in the black space to the left of the home and back buttons for the press to register. App does seem to work pretty well other than that. With AppRadio Extensions it might even be possible to add it to the AppRadio app's menu.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. I am pretty surprised this works. I tried the aha app and noticed that the app does not fill the screen so the touch calibration is slightly off as a result of that.
  12. Ah okay, that's unfortunate. On a more positive note, I noticed that iTunes Radio from iOS7 is integrated with the ipod app in AppRadio (and presumably any car stereo). Any radio station you save in iTunes Radio shows up as a playlist in the ipod app allowing you to select radio stations and skip tracks. Really cool! Unfortunately, this does not work in CarMediaPlayer.
  13. Thanks for the reply. After updating to iOS 7.02 I tried it again and it seems to be working. It's strange since power cycling the phone and turning the radio on and off didn't work before. But like you say it probably doesn't have anything to do with the iOS version. I'll play around with it the next few days and see if it stays working. When using the appradio mode (AppRadio 2 w/ HDMI adapter) I've noticed it sometimes gets stuck in a state where the apps will open but they don't get recognized by the head unit (for example, ECTouch will start but it will have phone mirroring and no
  14. Has anyone tried the Lightning to 30 pin adapter with an iPhone 5 and iOS 7? From comments I read in the forum, it sounded like using the adapter would give access to the ipod option. I purchased the adapter today and tried it with my phone but the AppRadio opens to a blank screen when I press either iPod or Pandora.
  15. Hi Mike, I'm really enjoying the functions AppRadio Extensions adds to the head unit. I would not have purchased the head unit without your hard work. Would it be possible to have an option to have AppRadio Extensions play music after the radio is connected to the phone, and to pause the music once the radio is disconnected? Another option that I would like is the ability to launch a specific app or the music controls after the initial connection of the radio to the phone. The use case I'm thinking of is when I start the car up, I would like the music to start playing and then swit
