just got off the phone with Pioneer. The new update disc is not for the Z2. They said that the Z2 is already running this software and that this disc is only to upgrade the z1 to a z2.

The Yellow dot only comes on the cases shipped to dealers. The actual box that you will recieve doesnt. You have to go by the date of manufacture.

my z2 comes in tomorrow so if I can get a hold of Pioneer tomorrow after work we'll see what the deal is.

I ordered a z2 last night and just read this post. According to my retailer pioneer will send me the update for free since I just bought the unit.
