    AVIC-D3/iPhone /Mac/Music
  1. Hey ! I ain't no stinkin PC ! Not that there's anything wrong with it . Hey Thanks for the help Mac . So I take it your talking about the apple Component AV Cable ? the one I have has 5 RCA outs and a usb out how would one hook that up ? I have a USB module and a iPod module .
  2. what is a mac component cable? and can you see album art ?
  3. why exactly is it a no go? looks like it should work but then again im not an electrician Thy said it worked with everything but the 3G so it must be the "firewire /usb port" issue
  4. I called kensington about the pass through adapter . They said no go . Glad to know that good heads are busy at work . Bob and Weave !
  5. Well thats the best thing I've heard since Steve Job's letter to all of the disappointed people stuck with $300.00 stereos that can't even sync there phonebooks let alone album art and videos ! I wonder if we'll have to by new stereos to go with the new iPhones ?
  6. If you want to enjoy your iPhone on the big screen the D3 isn't for you . so far : no video , no album art , no music streaming , no phone book , the bluetooth and phone work alright and the music plays great through a direct hook up but its nowhere near 1000 bucks worth !
  7. integrated? in what way? My dream has been to see my ical and email etc on the my d-3 is that a possibility?
  8. I had this brilliant idea that I could just load the phone book with my treo It seemed to download numbers , but is there a way to use treo numbers with my iPhone ? Seems like no . ?
  9. has any one had success with bluetooth audio sometimes I'll get my iPhones clicks on the D3 but no blue tooth music ...How bout video anyone had luck with video from iPhone ?
  10. Hope Your Wrong . I'm thinking as soon as apple establishes the iPhone as a dependable . stable success story it's going to have to open her up . So far I've really sacrificed a lot of tricks giving up my treo for this little darling .
  11. Thanks Blizzard . I just bought the usb to cover all possible inroads I love the idea of playing off an SD also using the d3 as a monitor for a mini ,or just to up my chances of iphone or treo sync . But it's just a blind stab as I'm quite new to this stuff .I haven't managed to read an SD yet , You think the USB is over kill ? I never had an iPod . Kept holding out for a full screen . Playing music with the iPhone/ D3 is very smooth ! I would guess it is the best iPod yet except for the video glitch . Greetings !
  12. Just wanted to log in and say I'm happy to find you . I'm a former Treo user and in anticipating the iPhone have been shopping for a system to sync in my GMC Truck . I would love to have a Mac-Mini but it seemed a little over my head . So I opted for a AVIC-D3 with the CD-BTB200 bluetooth adapter , the CD-i200 ipod interface , and a CD-UB100 USB adapter , I just now finally have it installed and am a lucky owner of an iPhone . Unfortunately I'm unable to offer any insights that haven't been covered . Obviously this iPhone hasn't been around much !! When I find a Jewel I'll share ..Good luck
