  1. I moved mine to pretty much the same location as yours. Originally it was in the center of the dash, below the head unit (my car has a built in cubby hole/opening there).
  2. I had the same problem a lot of people have reported here with my X920BT and horrible bluetooth call quality. I could hear the other person fine but to them I sounded garbled and impossible to understand. I was convinced it was not a mic placement issue because a. voice recognition worked fine and b. even if I spoke directly in front of/into the mic I had the same distortion problem. Anyway, I tried moving the the mic after a few months and now the sound quality is pretty good, huge improvement. So if you are having this issue and have not tried moving the mic yet definitely give it a t

    SALE AT AMAZON!

I just mailed in the invoice you can print out from your order history on Amazon's site. I'm sure that will be good enough, Amazon is an authorized retailer.
  4. All the X920BT needs is for you to connect the video RCA plug from the camera. The camera itself probably needs two other connections, one is ground and the other 12v acc which you connect to the red wire in your harness.
  5. Just insert a new wire instead of pulling/moving the mute wire.
  6. Thanks, maybe I will be satisfied with the new avic nav then. Are there any other systems with better nav but also good media/ipod integration in the same price range?
  7. I just sold my car along with the AVIC-D3 I installed 3-4 years ago. Overall, I was very happy with the D3. Since I was happy with that system, I figured I would get the X920BT for my new car. Now that I started doing a little research I've seen a lot of complaints about Pioneer's new navigation. I figured it would just be an improved version of the nav software on the D3 but apparently that is not the case. Anyway, can anyone who has used both units give me a comparison of the nav software? I don't want to "upgrade" to the X series if the navigation experience is worse. Thanks!
  8. I'm having trouble getting a reverse signal with my AVIC-D3. I've tapped the yellow/brown wire in the rear harness near the passenger kick panel. There are actually 3 yellow/brown wires in this bundle, maybe that is my problem. The connection status screen on the avic always show's high for reverse. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
