  1. I've decided to go with Cloudbrain's FixTunes. There are a few others out there that work, but FixTunes integrates best with iTunes so I'm still with it. I've still had a few problems getting the album title to show up, and it is just saying "unknown album" and I have to change it on the Z3.
  2. Yeah, thanks. I currently use the latest Nero to do all my burning. I'm checking out a program right now called FixTunes that supposedly will handle all the ID3 renaming automatically. I'll post updates for anyone interested.
  3. I work in the Data Storage industry and here is a tidbit on one of the new Arrays and its support of both flash drives and fibre channel drives that is eye catching.
  4. I usually don't care about 'proper' naming of my MP3s since I usually only listen to them on my computer, but now that I am transferring these songs to my Z3 I need to stay on top of things. Currently I will download albums and each song is named properly, but there is no official 'nametag' on the file and when I copy the CD to the Z3 the files show up as a date and time. I assume this will only happen for files newer than the March 2008 Gracenote. What would be the best way to apply the correct tag to my music so it will transfer properly? Is there a program that will scan a folde
  5. yeah you need to pick the "Bus Card" button and then do the transfer. I didn't figure it out either til I checked on here.
  6. I'm sure many people with give you their thoughts and none of them will involve fixing your problem.
  7. Wow, I'd hate to reply to an older thread, but this just saved me hours of aggravation. Couldn't for the life of me figure out why I couldn't get my Blackberry Curve to transfer my address book. I kept getting "Transfer Failed" Would have never thought to try to do it while in the "Business Card" mode. Make this a sticky!!!!!!! Thanks
  8. Simple answer. Ratingsplanet is a scam site as well. It is not a "board" where registered users are giving opinions. Its a junk site where anyone, aka CameraProfessional employees submit fake shit over and over. Notice how there are ZERO negative reviews about them.
  9. these guys are scam artists STAY AWAY!! Google this "the camera professionals" BBB
  10. Total time = 3.5 Hours over HTTP with Comcast Cable Internet Not too shabby
  11. That would be this for those who like to click on links 40GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822149039 (Out of Stock) 60GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822149048
  12. Has anyone tried this program? Searching for "HDD Unlock" brings up every single unlocking thread. This is FREE and a 2.8MB download http://www.hddunlock.com/download/
  13. Thanks for all the hard work guys. Definitely use Rapget, its a great program and easy as hell to use. FYI: If you can't get a premium account. Sign-up for the free Megaupload account, enter your info into Rapget, paste the links in and kick it off overnight. Should take about 15 hours on a cable modem with the wait times enforced by Mega
  14. why don't you try reading through the 11 pages.
  15. I'm definitely buying a new 40GB drive for $50, no need to F with my current one. Megaupload isn't a bad idea if the FTP ends up getting floaded. It is $9.99 for a membership and you could kick off the parallel downloads with all the links before you leave for work and it will be done when you get home. OR Wait about 1-2 weeks and it will be all over the internet
  16. Ouch, that is gonna take awhile. Good luck with the upload! Hopefully you have a good pipe to upload it through. 5GB over cable modem is about 24 hours. Thanks for sharing the image.
  17. But what makes it so good for drive in movies?
  18. correct me if I'm wrong, but the only problem with it being locked is that you need to unlock it to do FUTURE updates. It will perform fine once it is locked, you just won't be able to do another upgrade without unlocking it.
  19. follow this thread http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14223
  20. hifiaudiononline on eBay. They sell them refurbished and cheap. Comes sealed from Pioneer with a 90 day warranty. The X model comes with the Bluetooth adapter and Rear View camera
  21. How exactly are you copying this image? Z3 Drive to Z2 Drive? Z3 Iso Image to Z2 Drive? or One of the above to a brand new drive? I can't say that I've done any Avic drive copying before and I could be completely off on this process, but from my experience doing backups once you setup the original copy you can setup a "delta" copy where only changes get copied which will give you a very quick sync of the data. In order for this to work with a Z3 to Z2 copy all the Z3 data has to be IDENTICAL to the Z2 and all the new "upgrades" are new files and not replacements of the Z2 files.
  22. damn, at that size, there really is no easy way to do it. With programs like HJSplit to split the file up and Rapget to que up the files/links, it can be done. The D1 DVD had to be split into about 40 or so chunks. My offer stands if anyone is still interested.
  23. I've got a 100mbps (really fast) connection here at work and can upload the image to Rapidshare if needed. I did this for people when the D1 Update DVD came out last year. Let me know if you'd like me to help, I can login to my work from home tonight and do the downloading/uploading. Rapidshare is a lot easier and quicker than torrents. Even if you don't have rapidshare, just go sign up for $7 for a month and grab the image.
  24. I dont think I am going to have the patience to copy over thousands of songs one at a time with 15 track CDs. I'll stick to XM radio and the occasional CD
  25. Considering this is most likely limited by the OS on the Avic unit and not the hard drive size, I doubt anything will change. Here is a screenshot from the Z3 manual which confirms that for now.
