a way to get it to function without prompting for ok on the navi screen is to leave a route set when turning off. Its kind of a lame way but then again it doesnt ask you for you to press "ok"

the ipbus cable is the same, but for the nav traffic there is a data cable that the sirius unit does not come with obvously. the antanna is also different. the power + and - connector is different as well, i switched from xm to sirius cuz of the half ass nav traffic functionality. In addition xm seems to repeat the same damn songs (about 2 dozen) over and over accross the stations I listened to. While sirius does this as well, it doesnt seem to be nearly as bad. I sure wish that both xm and sirius drop there carrebian call center, they are a joke!

assuming its a question, it could be because of the direct sun light interfering with the IR functions of the steering wheel remote. Or it could be because the "line of sight" from the remote to the z1 is being interupted.

yes, the subfolders are there, you can search by what you mentioned.. artist.. playlist... folders. It is very slow though, displaying only 6 i think at a time.

you know what would be slick -digital video recorder.. like xm record the live music to hdd. So maybe when a phone call comes in, or the navi voice kicks on it pauses kinda so you can resume listening to what you were before the interuption. Not to mention a song you would like to capture.

Like mentioned before the speed sense is in the radio harness... i believe from the F150 I have had that had it there. The "interface" line is not likely true. Check a wireharness and see what the added wires are. You can also check out a wiring site like the12volt and likely find info there.

Welp, thanks for beating me up. lol... actually a few weeks isnt too dead.. is it? and I didnt mean that xm nav traffic works on only the z1, it does work on the n3, and in fact works on the d2. What was meant was that xm has the only nav traffic feature (equipment) for the z1... hence why i said "xm is the nav traffic provider and for the z1 only" since there is no other nav traffic provider for the z1. btw, it does work.. no quams about that, but to reroute to an as "trafficy" area is just lame.

yes, the updating msg and only one channel working is what xm does when the bill doesnt get paid. Found that out this morning when I called they said my cc didnt process and can i give them another #, so i gave them the same one they had and they got it working shortly aftwords. Though xm is the nav traffic provider for the moment, and for the z1 ONLY, I will be canceling xm, and nav traffic in the morning since the traffic info is rarely useful. I mean, I have used it in the L.A. area and changed my route at the suggestion of the nav traffic only to find I am in just as bad a position a

This may already be available and I am blind since I just got the z1 excuse me in advance if its there. but.... -a screen blackout would be nice, like what the d2 has in the "P" button, for those late nights when you dont have to look at the unit and and even ill. dimmed is just not enough.

in regards to the feedback issue, i think you are meaning echo. If that is correct then adjust the volume down on the phone whilst it is connected with the z1. I found this to help slightly, after pioneer instructed to do so.

new here and reading as much as possible but I have seen a little confusion on suggested products for the thread starter. as far as the stock sub and what to use for it with the z1 you can use ANY 2 ohm stable amp (if the stock sub is 2 ohms) as far as the other poster saying it cant handle much before sounding like crap, that isnt necessarily the power that is causing the sub to sound poor. There should be gain controls and possibly a crossover to dial in just what the sub can handle. 99.999999% of blown speakers are not because the operator sent too much power to the speaker but sent a dirty

thought I would let you guys know of my experience, and with this bs warranty. I found that if I didnt buy the warranty I was denied the sale of the product, horrible! you can check out reseller ratings to see my story if you want but its just a scam in the end on their part to draw you in and get the sale, I mean you can get the unit for $1750 just about anywhere and from an auth dealer, but they are gettin you on the warranty and "maybe" they would honor it in a year or 2 and maybe they wouldnt.
